Is kindness necessary in the 21st century?

It still seems to me that kindness is measured not by the ability to highlight part of what you have, but by something more comprehensive. And, in my opinion, kindness is still difficult to measure in any units. In addition, this same kindness is somehow less and less, unfortunately, to be found in our society. Of course, everyone is kind to their loved ones: to children, to parents, to acquaintances, because deep down in their souls they expect the same kind deed in return. But it’s very difficult to do something like that towards a complete stranger, without expecting any kind of gratitude at all. For some reason, people now consider the behavior of people in videos presented on the Internet almost a feat: motorists stop to move an elderly person across the road or push a car stuck in a ditch. But this is a simple, common phenomenon that has recently become a rarity, which is why it is so highly valued. What happened to people? Is kindness really something like an archaism? I don’t want to think that people are so hardened in soul, but you’re riding on the bus in the morning, when all the seats are occupied, and you see an old granny coming in, her hands are shaking (why is she alone at such a time - the circumstances are different), she can barely hold on, but sit down? there is nowhere to go - all the seats are occupied by students, schoolchildren, young workers and office workers, and NOBODY gets up! It’s difficult to explain whether it’s a callous soul or bad upbringing. My parents taught me to look around, so I almost always get on the bus and stand in the aisle, because there are always people who need more comfort than me.

And yet, I think kindness will always be needed: in the 21st century, and in the 22nd, and in subsequent ones too. Humanity will not survive without showing goodness. This is a category that is passed around in a circle regardless of a person’s desire or reluctance. Last summer I found a wallet in a store containing money, a driver's license, and credit cards. Through the Internet, my brother and I found the owner and returned everything to him safe and sound. He was simply shocked when he saw that everything was in place. After a couple of months, I myself lost my wallet, but to my surprise, I received it after a few days without any loss. When I told my mother about this and laughed that this is a real cycle of wallets in nature, she replied that “this is a cycle, but not of wallets, but of goodness among people.”

I would like to believe that such a cycle of goodness will not be isolated, but massive, universal, that with each revolution kindness will ennoble people and make them more conscientious, softer, more attentive towards other people, acquaintances and strangers.

As is known, the problem of “good” and “evil” in all centuries has attracted people’s attention both as a religious speculation and as a struggle of ethical standards, but in no other century has the real struggle between good and evil been waged so clearly and uncompromisingly, as productively and , sometimes tragic, like in the twentieth century.

In strict accordance with the principle of the thief: shout loudest: “Stop the thief!” Ronald Reagan’s “speechwriters” at the end of the twentieth century declared the USSR an “evil empire”, and the USA, naturally, a “market of good”. Consistently implementing the principles of this genre, Western propagandists did not even try to explain to their citizens either what evil is or what good is.

They “forgot” to answer the questions of why the American administration collaborated most closely with the “evil” Stalin at the end of the Great Patriotic War, and why the USSR was declared an “evil empire” when it was led by Brezhnev, under whom Andropov was releasing “prisoners of conscience” in batches. , irreconcilable fighters against Soviet power, for the “Iron Curtain” in America, England at a time when the KGB, at times, did not release law-abiding Soviet intellectuals even into Bulgaria?

This state of affairs cannot be explained by anything other than the presence in the top leadership of the KGB of a strategy that presupposed, on the one hand, the arousal of philistine resentment among Soviet writers, and on the other hand, the cultivation of mediocrities burdened with delusions of grandeur into “prisoners of conscience” and ( only due to this) turning them into a literary banner of anti-Soviet forces within the USSR. For example, who today, from the reading public, runs around in search of the works of the “giants of thought” Maksimov, Volkov or Sinyavsky, who, after serving six (instead of seven by sentence) years “in the zone” and gaining fame as a writer precisely in connection with this , was released to live in... England. According to a similar scenario, the growth of the poet Joseph Brodsky, as well as Bukovsky, who joined them, etc., took place.

Until now, US politicians are avoiding a clear answer to the question of why the USSR became more and more of an “evil empire” for them, although Gorbachev, Yakovlev and Shevardnadze were ready to literally lick any place in the US and even move the state border of the USSR at their request, panickingly withdrawing from everywhere Soviet troops?

But today it is becoming clear to ordinary people that according to the US plans, there should have been nothing sovereign left in the space once occupied by the USSR, not even an “independent Ukraine”, and even more so, a democratic Russian Federation, which, in principle, could prevent the US oligarchs from doing in the world whatever your heart desires... True, after the Yeltsin coup of 1991, the answer to this question became clear even to Sinyavsky and his wife, when they finally saw and smelled the evil into which the “democrats” plunged their Motherland, and in the name of which the special services The US has used them themselves for many years. (See, for example, Sinyavsky’s interview in AiF No. 41, 2005).

The twentieth century has already become history. How will the struggle between good and evil take place in the 21st century? According to Christian doctrine, humanity will not face anything more original than the “end of the world” or “Armageddon” in the near future. Heaven does not threaten everyone. Modern science also vacillates between “general warming” and “general glaciation.” The intensive development of automatic means of mass destruction of people continues. In other words, it is difficult to argue that the “forces of evil” are decisively retreating before the “forces of good.”

On the issue of words

First of all, it should be taken into account that the words “good” and “evil” are of little use in scientific analysis of social problems. These abstractions are equally often used both in modern academic philosophy, in theology, and in any kitchen, including PR. They are organic to children's fairy tales and religious myths. Their meaning is covered with a centuries-old patina of speculation and hoaxes. However, it is these words that “sit” in the consciousness of the modern reading public more firmly than, for example, the words: constructive or destructive, progress or regression, reflecting the main opposites of human existence more specifically than the words “evil” or “good.”

Modern ordinary people identify “good” with a “large” amount of money, and “evil” refers to any “small” amount of money. At the same time, their minds are dominated by the idea of good and evil as a combination of stars in the sky, clots of supernatural forces, as evil and good spirits existing “on their own” or temporarily imprisoned in an “Aladdin’s lamp”, capable of doing bad things at their own choice. make peace with the Orthodox or true believers. Thanks to the bearers of such ideas, or rather, their wallets, a gigantic circle of “occultists” and, competing with them, official “cultists” are fed.

Therefore, from the point of view of admirers of astrological forecasts, everything that a person has is good, and everything that he loses is evil. For example, the loss of a gold ring is evil for a bungler, but the discovery of the same ring by another person is the acquisition of good. On this occasion, many market-oriented mystics say that they have “been blessed.” That is, exactly to the extent that one event is “good” for one person, this same event is “evil” to the same extent for another person. But, if after some time the police tell the bungler the news, which is quite banal for our days, that his ring was found in the possession of alcoholics who killed a man for the sake of the very gold ring that he found on the street, then, of course, the murder of the “lucky guy” and the sentence received by the killer, and the fact that the ring was returned, and the fact that the ring was lost in time and therefore the alcoholics had to kill the temporary and not the permanent owner - all this will make the victim think about the inconsistency of our modern ideas about good and evil.

The theoretical lack of development of the problem of good and evil has led to the fact that people classify natural phenomena as “evil.” Many of them believe that natural disasters were sent down on them “from above” for their sins. Those. “...if it weren’t for God’s will...”, there would never have been natural disasters. Indeed, only in mystical natural forces can appear as good or evil in the mind. In order to identify the action of the forces of nature with good or evil, it is necessary to remain at the level primitive consciousness that deifies or devilizes physical processes. Only mental savages today can beg for rain, or sacrifice beauties so that God will do a good deed and pour some moisture onto the Earth.

In the universe everything flows, everything changes. Young mountains change their shape under the influence of moisture, temperature, and plant roots, and this is neither good nor bad. Mountains do not suffer because they “grow old.” These are simply the facts of the existence of matter. Only a person can suffer and be angry at his aging, and even then not everyone.

Space has in its arsenal a small set of conditions, directly suitable for human life. At the same time, it has an infinitely large number of factors that cause death. Such a disproportionate combination of opposites is NATURAL, since the subject himself is ONE from countless manifestations of nature, and not vice versa.

Meteor showers, as well as periodically occurring meetings of planets with giant asteroids or comets that pose a threat to any form of life, arise not in the order of manifestation of the forces of good and evil, but due to physical processes, independent of consciousness, occurring in endless macro- and microworlds. Nevertheless, protein life on Earth exists and is becoming less and less stupid.

More than once, scientists (with their forecasts) have saved hundreds of thousands of people and cities from earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, i.e. turned the forces of nature into an almost harmless spectacle for humans. Under the “villain” Stalin, the territory of the USSR, like never before, was energetically covered by the steadily expanding system sanitary-epidemiological, meteorological, hydrological, glaciological, seismic stations and astronomical observatories in order to minimize the impact of the blind forces of nature on Soviet people. Currently, under the tyranny of the “democrats”, this unique system is being destroyed and, proportionally the dying of science in the Russian Federation, the reduction of expenses for warning services about natural phenomena, the scope of action of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) is expanding, the zone of high incomes of “ritual offices” and rat feasting places. Thanks to market transformations is multiplying and will multiply the number of victims of natural disasters, including unsanitary conditions.

When a volcanic eruption or tsunami does not harm people, they admire these powerful manifestations of the forces of nature. Where market principles or religious dogma do not allow science to develop to the required level, earthquakes, volcanoes and floods kill hundreds of thousands of people.

Matter is indifferent whether it can create a person, kill or save him. It simply exists, as Hegel said, “in-itself-and-for-itself.” Within the framework of the problem of good and evil, everything depends on how a person uses the power of a substance of nature - for destruction or creation, as a poison or as a medicine.

The first doctors used poison, most often as a medicine, kings, most often as a poison. True, thanks to market relations and freedom of speech, reports about modern doctors are increasingly appearing poisoners, doctors- the rippers. Therefore, today there is no longer any doubt whether poisoning doctors could have done their dirty work in Stalin’s times. The events and crimes that followed the transfer of Russian medicine to the market proved that they definitely could. It’s just that many doctors in Soviet times were afraid to fully demonstrate their sadistic and acquisitive tendencies. But if you carefully re-read, for example, “Heart of a Dog” or “Doctor Zhivago,” you can understand a lot in the cynical, mercantile, selfish world of the medical elite. Love of money, arrogance, selfishness are absolutely natural properties of the soul of an intellectual, taken out of the framework of the usual market-feudal comfort of Tsarist Russia. And when the country returned to a market-criminal democracy, the increase in the number of killer doctors, including undereducated idiots in white coats, again became the norm. Anyone who follows Western crime publications knows that the “serial killer doctor” is as frequent a guest on the pages of newspapers in the civilized West as the topic of teenagers shooting their offenders in schools. What can we say about the Russian Federation, which has taken the path of blind imitation.

But it is quite obvious that only when market, acquisitive, competitive relations go into oblivion, along with them will the files about poisoning doctors finally go into the archives.

Where there is no power of money, interest in murder and destruction disappears.. Therefore, along with the weakening of the spirit of merchandising, poisons (for example, drugs) will again perform ONLY medicinal function, since only through the creative SCIENTIFICALLY enriched activity of PEOPLE, an increasing number of forces of nature are transformed into exactly dosed goodness.

Thus, the reader who decides to understand the problem of good and evil requires the work of the mind, by no means a journalistic or Reaganite level, in order to convincingly classify something as truly good or evil and not confuse the “addresses”.

Some aspects of the scientific approach to the problem

Like any other problem of existence, the problem of good and evil can only be solved on the basis of a scientific approach. In turn, a scientific approach is unthinkable without comprehension essence the phenomenon under study, in this case “good” and “evil”. But the difficulty is that the huge number modern intellectuals who operate with the concepts of “good” and “evil” do not master the philosophical category “essence”. At best, by essence they understand something “most important” contained in the subject of study itself. And since a subject contains many aspects, without which the subject does not exist, therefore, each thinker may have MULTIPLE purely individual ideas about the “essence” of any subject of study.

The absurdity of this approach is easily illustrated by the question of the essence of money. If a researcher looks for the essence of money, looking exclusively at the coin itself, even in an electron microscope, then he will not be able to detect anything “important” in the coin. Any coin contains the minted denomination, the shape and composition of the metal, sometimes very cheap, but not the essence. None of the named elements of the coin’s content is the essence of the coin and does not explain its social role.

The composition of, for example, potassium cyanide (a fast-acting poison) does not contain a single toxic element. All of them are beneficial for the body. The composition of this cyanide does not contain any substrate “main”, which would shed light on the essence of it as a poison and would allow it to be distinguished objectively, as tangible the essence of this poison. A pistol, as you know, can lie for an eternity without causing harm to anyone. They can successfully crack nuts. It is necessary for people to enter into a system of relations in which the elements of a pistol manifest their properties precisely as a murder weapon.

In other words, it is impossible to find the essence of a phenomenon among the elements that make up its content, even when all these elements are known. Figuratively speaking, the substrate of evil will be isolated by science in its pure form no earlier than the alchemists create the “philosopher’s stone”, i.e. never.

That's why, remaining on the scientific approach, we have to admit that CONCEPT good or evil can be born ONLY IN THE CONSCIOUSNESS of a person, and the source conscious evil or good for people can only be the people themselves, or rather, their ACTIONS, as a form of external expression of the content of their thoughts.

However, if only good existed in the world, then no one would know about the existence of... good. People would simply live, and, undoubtedly, happily. If only evil existed in the world, then SOMEONE would like to know what evil is. In other words, one concept without the other is meaningless. Good is still slightly superior to evil, which is why the human world exists. The final victory of evil in the world would be like the victory of a cancerous tumor over its host. Having defeated healthy cells of the body, the cancerous tumor is sent to the crematorium along with the body of the deceased owner. And since humanity still exists, it is clear that the leading side of this pair of opposites is good, it still determines some basic trends in social development, including changes in people’s consciousness. But they are strenuously fighting against the good, and judging by the statistics on the prevalence of vices, it turns out that exactly to the extent that marketers eliminate the Soviet legacy, fascism, religious and commercial terrorism, corruption of officials, prostitution of politicians, drug addiction of all kinds are growing to the same extent , crime, suicidal tendencies, sexual deformities, homelessness, poverty and homelessness.

Thus, having risen to the first “step” scientific comprehension of the essence of good and evil, everyone has long realized that good and evil are OPPOSITE concepts. But they did not attach due importance to this “discovery”. Even the fact that all, especially the sensational crimes, were committed as a meticulous plan did not play the role of a clue. Let's take, for example, the case of Eve, or the thoughts of Cain before the murder of Abel, or the private negotiations of the oligarchs during their preparation for the First World War, when they mobilized all the “best” intellectual forces of ALL countries - future participants in this massacre - to develop means of mass murder.

“Dancing” from the “stove” of the conscious essence of good and evil, it is necessary to understand that the pair “good and evil” can arise only as an external expression opposites ideological positions: even when they are imaginary (Christianity - Islam), and even more so if they are real (religion - atheism, fascism - internationalism), and as a result of the opposition of real relationships of people to each other, for example, entrepreneur to entrepreneur ( no one wishes the death of his neighbor more than an entrepreneur to an entrepreneur), an entrepreneur to a manager, an entrepreneur to a proletarian, or a proletarian to an entrepreneur.

But, if the attitude of the entrepreneur to the proletarian is legalized, conscious robbery, then the attitude of the proletarian to the entrepreneur is a stupid donor. It falls under the biblical recommendation: over and over again put your right cheek under attack when you have already been hit on the left, and proves that even ancient thinkers noticed in some people a readiness to systematically commit evil, for example, to rob and beat their neighbor (and this type of people does not it takes a long time to persuade), and in other people - to feed their tyrants and endure.

It is characteristic that there are significantly more demagogic supporters of “good” than talkative supporters of “evil.” The verbal diarrhea of modern politicians in praise of “good” is well known. For thousands of years, official religions have prayed for “good” while cursing “evil.” However, in practice and even in statistical reports, “evil” continues to multiply and, very often, goes on the offensive, reducing the “space” of good.

This state of affairs can only be explained by the fact that the mastered stage of understanding the essence of good and, consequently, the practice of “fighting” against “evil”, as well as the system of educating “good” in people, only exacerbates the ABSURDITY in people’s ideas on the most important issues of “good”, contrasts them with scientific understanding. And since ideas are absurd, therefore they mutually exclusive diverse on the same issue, therefore, the real relationships of people to each other, i.e. relations between the bearers of these ideas, antagonistic. The opposite is also true, if the real relationships of people are antagonistic, then they are opposite, ultimately, and their ideas about each other. Moreover, this last thing is primary in the life of a market community.

Modern oligarchic media intensively promote multi-mindedness on every issue of existence, especially in the field of politics, precisely so that the sum of the vectors of movement of the opponents of evil always tends to zero, i.e. so that society is constantly in a state of “swan, crayfish and pike.” As you know, both Muslims and Christians preach love for one's neighbor from the official platform, but look at what they have had to do to each other throughout history. Swords crossed fiercely and blood was shed not by mullahs and bishops, but by millions of simple, opposite-minded believers. The same thing is happening today with proletarians of different nationalities.

Therefore, the shortest answer to the question of how to rid humanity of evil is that people need to be delivered from the opposite of their ideas about human existence. For truth is ONE.

This problem is completely solvable, and science has already done a lot of useful things in this field. Today there are not many people who want to refute the theorems proven Euclid in the field of geometry. There are not many fools who consider themselves disadvantaged by the need to repeat after Euclid the imperishable truths of planimetry and stereometry. This proves that the scientific approach contributes to the development absolute truths and, therefore, UNIFIED ideas about a wide range of issues.

As soon as Euclid endowed people with scientific ideas about the shapes of objects and volumes, positive memorization of the TRUTHS discovered by Euclid prevailed in this area. As soon as Lobachevsky’s geometry appeared, other “non-Euclidean geometries” began to appear among geometers. And it’s good that none of the disputants have yet disgraced themselves by proposing to resolve this issue democratically, i.e. voting, as market politicians are used to doing.

People rarely argue with Newton in matters of mechanics. But the controversy surrounding some of Einstein’s discoveries has not subsided for more than a hundred years. And all because billions of people not only do not master tensor equations and materialistic dialectics, but also basic reading skills.

For more than a hundred years, scientists have not argued about the consistency of the periodic table of chemical elements. But the trouble is that billions of people on the planet do not even know about the existence of the “periodic table”. And there is no need to talk about the prevalence of scientific knowledge in the field of social science.

Thus, as long as there are two or more opinions on the same issue in people’s minds, it will be relatively easy to place people “on opposite sides of the barricade” and pit them against each other. Modern democrats fight for the triumph of “their own opinion” in the minds of people because it does not require any effort, no education on the part of the owner of “his point of view” and makes it easy to lower people (who do not have a SCIENTIFIC point of view) to the lower steps of the social “ladder”, i.e. to make from some undereducated, for example, officers, “cops”, “guards”, and from others undereducated, proletarians of mental and physical labor, marginals, “lumpen”, “guest workers”, homeless people, “prisoners”, so that the first upright “free-thinkers” They kept the second upright “free thinkers” in the grip of democratic law.

Some social roots of the problem of good and evil

Another obstacle delaying the onset of the era of the triumphant march of good is the inability to implement the dictatorship of good by people occupying contrasting social positions. Or, to put it simply, if society contains opposite social formations, then evil is indestructible as long as these opposite social formations exist. Everyone knows what the emergence of Islam resulted in. In numerous Christian crusades. The emergence of a class of entrepreneurs within feudal society cost them the “Night of St. Bartholomew”, and then resulted in the mass guillotinization of the French aristocracy. The proletariat has been shot by the bourgeoisie more than once. The bourgeoisie of different countries at different times experienced the calloused fist of the working class. Those. turning into social opposites, people are forced, first of all, to carry out antagonisms, and only then think about love for their neighbor.

It is indisputable that, for example, a slave and a slave owner are pronounced social opposites. Is a slave owner capable remaining one, bring good to the slave? Only by exercising violence can a slave owner turn a person into a slave and keep most slaves in a state of submission. History, legends, folklore, and myths have not left a single example in which a person voluntarily asked to become a slave, even to the richest slave owner. On the contrary, only shackles, stocks, dogs, overseers, and crucifixions kept slaves in captivity for centuries.

It is absurd to expect good, for example, from a subject who has chosen the path of an entrepreneur and sponsors HIS nationalist organizations. In a market democracy, outside sponsorship entrepreneurs is the most important reason the existence of fascist organizations of any national orientation. (As you know, the other day a guilty verdict was handed down in the criminal case of a young citizen of the market Russian Federation, Alexander Koptsev, who came to the synagogue and inflicted numerous stab wounds on parishioners. According to reports on the Internet, persons who do not advertise themselves have already transferred more than 100 to A. Koptsev’s parents 000 dollars. Obviously, this money was not transferred by workers or unemployed nationalists). It is clear that an unemployed person is deprived of the opportunity to pay for fascism, although he can join a READY-made fascist organization due to lack of food. But this, as they say, is a completely different, although also sad, story. Does the bourgeoisie of Jewish nationality in the Russian Federation, as well as in Latvia or Estonia, where expensive monuments to the Nazis are being restored, understand that this will not end, or will they continue to rely on the power of democratic justice in the Russian Federation, Latvia, and Estonia?

For example, entrepreneurs from the American military-industrial complex cannot do good. No matter how many charitable events they pay for, through the efforts of these very entities, funds have ALREADY been created that can make it so that there will not be a single person or any other mammal left on the planet.

Thus, there are SOCIAL roles within which a person not capable at all do good because CONSCIOUSLY took exactly this position in life - to purposefully deprive people of free time, means of subsistence and use their health, the time of their lives in their own and only theirs personal interests.

However, one might get the impression that it is a completely different matter for a slave who has come to terms with his situation and therefore brings the slave owner only benefits. Those. There is supposedly such a social role, for example, a slave, WITHOUT BREAKING WITH WHICH people are able to do only good and not commit evil. And, supposedly, the more impeccably the slave stands in the position of a hardworking “talking tool”, the less reason the master has to get angry and punish him.

But, slavishly benefiting the master, the slave thereby commits evil, first of all, in relation to himself, i.e. depriving yourself of your personal life.

At the same time, being good for its owner, a well-working slave is also evil for another slave, for example, a physically less developed one, since the overseer will certainly punish him for involuntary “negligence,” i.e. lower performance. From this point of view, slavery is a particularly vile and base evil. An accommodating slave is an involuntary good-natured person for the master and a conscious source of evil for another slave, especially, for example, if he is preparing to escape. In other words, not only two subjects can carry out good or evil in relation to each other, but one subject can also be the bearer of both good and evil, since he is the bearer opposites in his mind: he is both a man and a slave. As a person, he doesn’t mind getting freedom, but as a slave, he’s happy that today... he wasn’t whipped and was even allowed to lick his master’s plate.

As is known, for a long time philosophy developed primarily as an ideological application to slavery, therefore, any case of self-emancipation, especially violent, was regarded by official philosophy as evil in the form of causing damage to the owner by “ talking tool" This provision was also included in the commandments of Christ as a universal form of virtue: every owner is from God, and therefore, any attempt to resist the will of the owner is not only evil, but also a sin before God. Blessed is he who believes in this.

Thus, if society is divided into opposing social groups, then even the most creative groups of this society cannot claim to be the unconditional bearers of good. Those. even the proletariat, the most revolutionary class in the history of mankind, for a long time with its own hands only created everything necessary for waging world wars and itself, in alliance with the peasantry, under the leadership of the bourgeois intelligentsia, used weapons against the same proletarians as themselves.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to be a loyal citizen of a heterogeneous (culturally, socially, politically and economically) society and not participate in evil. People's complicity with evil decreases exactly to the extent that a person helps to equalize the intellectual development of people and eliminate their social inequality.

Optimism is inspired only by the fact that not every opposite of people fatally gives rise to evil (for example, the opposite of a man and a woman), however, any evil can exist only as a result of the social opposite of people and the presence of a mechanism that aggravates these opposites. Being necessary for each other, a man and a woman UNDERSTAND their social functions in such a strange way that prostitution, inequality, family and sexual violence appeared. Those. even this good opposite, which is the opposite of man and woman, social conditions market democracy capable of leading to suicidal idiocy.

Consequently, of all the possible opposites inherent in all people and the individual, essential in the emergence of evil, for example, extinction, is opposite education and mental development of individuals, but not only in relation to each other, but also in relation to scientific truth.

In other words, not only different people are characterized by different levels of mental development. In the vast majority of modern individuals there live, as it were, two subjects of different levels of development. A person can be a good theoretical physicist, but an absolute serf and ignoramus in socio-political issues. The more contrasting the mental development of an individual, the more aggressive the content of competition of such individuals, i.e. their relations in the system of private property, up to the undivided dominance of some and the servile oppression of others.

The higher and more harmonious the level of education, the more extensive and diverse cultural development of people, the more difficult it is for them to enslave each other. Firstly, because they are equal in strength of education and development and therefore, secondly, it is difficult for them to mislead each other, and, thirdly, their level and systematic cultural development excludes a primitive attitude towards other people, especially , does not allow one to descend to the level of relations of domination and subordination, i.e. self-exaltation through the humiliation of one's neighbor. It would not have occurred to a pianist, for example, Richter, to claim that he was better than director Bondarchuk Sr.

So evil domination not by chance, but immanently, organically inherent in a strictly defined SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL category of people in every race and nation. The main distinguishing feature of this category of people is their diverse undereducation, mixed with cultural underdevelopment. But the evil of domination is only possible because evil exists servility.

As social practice shows, not everyone can be a bearer of the evil of domination and tyranny, but first of all, those who managed to be born and formed in a certain SOCIAL environment. There is no doubt that it is easier to become a slave owner if you are born into the family of a slave owner rather than a slave. The history of the United States before 1861 does not know a single case in which a slave owner was born from a black man. In the United States, to become a slave owner you had to, first of all, be born into a white family, preferably an educated southerner. Now African Americans could also own slaves.

It is significant that during several centuries of Egyptian slavery of the Jews, only Moses, a Jew by birth, but raised at the Egyptian court, daughter of a pharaoh, was able to form into a personality who thinks big, in terms of the master of the servile masses, capable of keeping the people in obedience during forty years of wandering in the desert. It is clear that none of the other Jews at the time of the “exodus” could compete with Moses in education, which ensured his long undivided rule and the faith of the masses in his mediation between the people and God. Only by knowing how to write could he make stone “tablets.” This, however, does not mean that every writer can become a master, but the easier it is to become a master in the private property system, the higher the level of professional master's education, not forgetting, however, that it is necessary to be born in a certain era, in a certain country and family, already at the trough or feeder of power.

Are evil and good abstract?

Even adherents of market philosophy know very well, but keep silent about the fact that neither good nor evil are abstract. They are always specific and personalized. For example, many may evaluate a stroke as an abstract evil. But if the stroke “grabbed” only physicists and only at the moment when their thoughts descended to the idea of \u200b\u200bthe atomic bomb, then all sensible people would evaluate the “evil” of such a stroke as a concrete good. But, aware of the concrete nature of good and evil, hired philosophers and publicists today continue to implant abstract, often mystical models of evil and good into the public consciousness so that it would be more convenient (at the command of their oligarch pimps) to designate this or that or that as evil. who at this particular moment is preventing the oligarchs from receiving the greatest profit.

But the concreteness of the approach should not be confused with petty speculation. That is, if over and over again ALL world practice establishes a natural relationship between the height of an official’s position and the size of the bribe he receives, then the specificity of the approach in this matter lies not in the specificity of the names of officials who received bribes and the corresponding prison sentences, but in the fact that the SPECIFIC reason for this practice is the presence commodity-money form of production relations. If world practice year after year establishes a relationship between the growth rate of firms and the amount of profits hidden from taxation, then the matter is not in the name of the specific owner of the company, but in the essence of the commodity-money form of production relations, organically connected with the thieves’ form of thinking of people.

Therefore, if you want to move the fight against corruption (which has reached unprecedented proportions in the Russian Federation) to a specific channel, then it is necessary, first of all, not so much to pedantically apply modern legal procedures, but to eliminate the REASON that creates a guaranteed prerequisite for the emergence of ALL types of theft, i.e. eliminate the commodity-money form of relations between people. But many today will not yet understand this specific good deed and will continue to “scoop water out of a sinking boat” with a general legal “sieve”, write to the police, hire security guards and install iron doors.

The principle of concreteness, in relation to the problem of good and evil, means, moreover, that good is not what you think, but what In fact, is objectively good. Those. the principle of concreteness and, therefore, measures is inseparable from the principle of scientificity. In this sense, i.e. with a scientific approach to the development of social policy, good is irreversible, which has already been proven by the irreversibility of world social progress. (Regression should not be confused with historical collisions associated with revolutionary and counter-revolutionary fluctuations on the path of social progress).

Even the collapse of the USSR is not a regression. There is not the slightest reason to assert that the leadership of the CPSU after Stalin carried out the construction of communism in the USSR, and especially in strict compliance with scientific norms. In other words, the “building” collapsed, which for more than thirty years, starting with Khrushchev, was disfigured by “giants of thought”, whose scientific potential was not superior to either Chernomyrdin or Yeltsin. The collapse of the USSR in 1991 is the collapse of a social structure built on the principles of pure OPPORTUNISM, which Marx, Lenin and Stalin always opposed. Therefore, in historical and philosophical terms, the collapse of the opportunist CPSU is not a greater tragedy than the collapse of the First and Second Internationals, mired in opportunism, although it is an undoubted and obvious tragedy in the lives of millions of specific people. History has clearly shown how much gullibility, anti-science and simply illiteracy cost the peoples of the world in the process of realizing good aspirations.

Good, as a special case of truth, is invariant. Evil is diverse, just as errors are diverse.

The historical optimism of members of the scientific worldview party is also based on the specific property of progress that it is impossible in modern society to carry out an act of evil towards someone without this evil turning into its opposite. For example, world wars unleashed by monopolists over private ownership of their colonial possessions, according to Lenin’s classification, are evil, and therefore he called on the people to quickly overthrow capitalism so that the First World War would not occur. However, the proletariat did not listen to wise advice in time. The world war has finally begun. Having consumed a huge number of proletarian lives, driving tens of millions of Russian peasants through incredible suffering, the war of the imperialists exposed its evil, and it appeared before the workers of Russia in all its practical, not theoretical significance, which prompted them to take actions that promised a way out of the senseless massacre for the working people. . Those. the evil of war served a CONCRETE good service to the political education of the proletarians of Russia.

The growth of mass political awareness under the influence of the forces of evil led to the fact that following the Second World War, evil was not only identified with fascism, but also personified in the person specific military, political and economic leadership of Nazi Germany. For the first time in the history of mankind, people who launched hostilities were not just defeated, but convicted as criminals and executed.

Even more reason for optimism is the fact that even the English people had the intuition not to elect the “winner in the war,” Churchill, as Prime Minister of England for another term. Those. The hardships of the Second World War awakened sparks of rational thinking even among those so ossified in the tradition of violent policies towards other peoples as the people of Great Britain.

Subsequently, the Vietnam War sobered up US youth for several years. But the complete enlightenment of consciousness in the world is still very far away, since public consciousness is still a mixture of mass classical illiteracy and professional cretinism of certified specialists.

Society has not yet matured to understand the role of entrepreneurship in general in the emergence of wars and fascism, but there is no doubt that a new wave of fascism, covering an increasing number of countries in the world, will raise public consciousness to understand the following objective truth: the more successful the accumulation of capital in a country , the more entrepreneurs need fascist ideas and services. Is it possible to talk about the dominance of any other trend, even if the Union of Right Forces of the Russian Federation recently signed an anti-fascist pact with Yabloko, thereby RECOGNIZING the growth of the fascist element in the country as capital accumulates and the appetite of Russian entrepreneurs of all nationalities grows. This theatrical act contained a sea of slyness and cynicism on the part of the right, but the fact that fascism is advancing is an indisputable fact and the sobering effect of the evil of concentration camps on the consciousness of people is once again put on the agenda by history.

Approximately according to the same scheme, the formation of mass global consciousness is taking place today, and, despite the ruthless brainwashing of the modern electorate, despite the disappearance of the USSR, rarely anyone remembers America well... And the “euro” was not introduced in Europe in order to make it easier or extend US life. Moreover, the US flag continues to remain the most burned flag in the world, while the abbreviation USSR (so far only an abbreviation) is gaining more and more fans among young people around the world.

Once in Moscow, while participating in a demonstration dedicated to May 1, 2000, when I reached the Intourist Hotel, I noticed a tall young man with an athletic build standing at the edge of the sidewalk and intently examining the passing column. He was wearing a scarlet T-shirt with the words “USSR” on the chest. Today, in 2006, on the streets of Moscow there are plenty of young people wearing T-shirts, scarves or hats with this inscription. And in 2000 it was still exotic. I approached the young man and asked how to understand this combination: his youth, the inevitable lack of information in connection with this, against the backdrop of abundant lies in the media and, suddenly, the inscription “USSR” on his chest? He began to calmly explain his position to me in... English. The guy turned out to be a tourist from the USA.

Therefore, what is certainly important, from a historical point of view, is not the resourcefulness of the “speechwriters” in the field of demarcation of the boundaries between the “empire” of evil and the market of good, but, first of all, the fundamental recognition by world public consciousness of the presence of two theoretical opposite models of social development of mankind and two actually opposite social systems so opposed that one of them is declared evil and the other good.

Marxism is the ONLY scientific school of thought that asserted that modern society is prepared by the entire course of the historical process for the AGE of transition from a market economy that generates all imaginable forms of evil (due to the dominance of private property) to an economy controlled on the basis of science, i.e. knowledge about laws and historical experience expanded reproduction of good in society. However, to this day, propagandists of market democracy continue to load into the consciousness of ordinary people the “concept” of randomness, criminality, conspiratorialism, and the maniacal nature of all cases of political struggle of workers, all social revolutions, especially the revolution carried out by the proletarians of Russia in 1917.

Well, it may very well be that the fascists will once again clean out the minds of the democrats who are flailing around like capercaillies on an electric current.

Conclusion

Of course, there will be readers who will ask: what is good and what is evil? Where is the definition of good and evil here?

In ancient times, when almost everyone was equally illiterate, spiritual shepherds acted simply. They compiled commandments, and from the commandments, if desired, it was possible to compile a list of actions related to both “good” and “evil.” There was no need to think, all you had to do was believe in the list. The poet Mayakovsky used this technique when addressing children. But compiling lists of good and evil in modern conditions means doing Sisyphean work.

The author invites readers to think about whether all cases when a person who is in good health, in the prime of his biological strength, “suddenly” begins to live very badly, are not a consequence of his own ignorance, stupidity, and intellectual laziness? In other words, Isn’t individual and mass ignorance the ESSENCE of evil in any of its manifestations?? Doesn't it seem to the reader that evil exists as long as the ignorant exist? Ignorance is the oil in the furnace of evil. If we admit that this is exactly the case, then the recipe for fighting evil becomes simple and understandable: ensuring the comprehensive and complete development of each individual.

But if every personality is comprehensively and fully developed, market experts worry, then where can we get millions of “smart” people who will take their money to MMM, to Chara, to Vlastelina? A smart person won't take money there. Where then can we get hundreds of millions of eccentrics who will privatize their own apartments in order to turn into small, defenseless owners from whom any oligarch can take away these apartments in the thousands? Today in the Russian Federation, the number of people expelled from private apartments still numbers in the thousands. Soon, after the end of the apartment privatization campaign, the bill will go into the millions.

Where, in conditions of general enlightenment, will the Democrats be able to get tens of thousands of “smart” people who will buy the same apartment several times, as they do today? If all people are made developed, i.e. universally smart, then who will believe that “inflation has increased” itself and is not a legalized method of theft? Everyone will understand that inflation is caused by entrepreneurs and only entrepreneurs, and paid economists, taking advantage of the gullibility and lack of education of the intelligentsia, try to present the matter as if inflation is caused by “scapegoats”, i.e. government.

To ensure that the number of such “smart” people never decreases, the modern system of education and upbringing of people in all democratic countries is built in such a way that there are as many fools as possible. That is why in the Russian Federation the number of young people who cannot read is rapidly growing. Actually, there is a directly proportional relationship between the profits of companies and the number of fools in a country, and capital is exported to that country, and car assembly plants are built, first of all, in those countries that have more fools.

Thus, if the reader wants to know definition, which the author is guided by, then evil, - There is uneducated and undeveloped person. Through his efforts or through his stupidity, all the evil in the world is committed. At least in Rus', since ancient times it was believed that “an obliging fool is more dangerous than an enemy.” “Make a fool pray to God,” our ancestors said, “and he’ll break his forehead.” It's good if only your own. True, the ancient Greeks were somewhat stricter. They called idiots people who were either born without reason or who deliberately shied away from political life. But today, finding people among Russian intellectuals who would understand what “political life” is better than “on the Maidan” in Kyiv is extremely problematic.

April 2006

Class hour on the topic "Good and evil in the modern world"

Goals : introducing students to the concepts of “good” and “evil”, defending and arguing their point of view, developing the ability to empathize with other people.

Tasks: to cultivate the desire to do good deeds and deeds, develop students' ideas about good and evil, promote the development of a culture of dialogue.

There's only one way to put

The end of evil is to do good to evil people.

L.N. Tolstoy.

Teacher:

Good is what is honest, useful, serves to preserve and develop life, everything that helps people and nature is to their benefit. For example, I associate goodness with a candle flame. Just as a candle gives light and warmth, goodness also gives people light and warmth. Let's light a candle and let its fire bring only good thoughts during our class hour. (lights a candle - a decorative, large one). Class hour I would like to start from the parable:

“Once upon a time, an old man revealed one vital truth to his grandson:

There is a struggle in every person, very similar to the struggle of two wolves. One wolf represents evil: envy, jealousy, regret, selfishness, ambition, lies. The other wolf represents goodness: peace, love, hope, truth, kindness and loyalty.

The grandson, touched to the depths of his soul by his grandfather’s words, thought for a moment, and then asked:

Which wolf wins in the end?

The old man smiled and answered:

The wolf you feed always wins."

Teacher:

How do we understand the meaning of the words “good” and “evil”? Throughout its history, humanity has been trying to answer these eternal questions. Let's think together. Formulate your own definition of the concepts of “good” and “evil.”

(Students express their opinions).

Teacher:

The Dahl dictionary gives the following definitions for these concepts:

Good - in the spiritual sense, good is what is honest and useful, everything that the duty of a person, a citizen, a family man requires of us; the opposite of bad and evil.

Evil - thin, dashing, thin, dashing; the opposite of good.

Ozhegov’s dictionary gives the following definitions for these concepts:

Good - something positive, good, useful, opposite to evil.

Evil - something bad, harmful, the opposite of good; evil deed.

Good and evil. What important and capacious concepts. For many centuries, people have dreamed of a happy and prosperous life, filled with high meaning and based on the ideals of goodness and justice, loyalty and honor, beauty and harmony. People embodied their dreams in myths and legends, traditions and fairy tales, in which good deeds, duty, responsibility, and the desire to help others were the basis of relationships between people.

This is what an old Chinese parable tells about:

(Staging)

O wisest one! Take me as your student, I want to know the truth,” one young man said to the sage.

Can you lie? - asked the sage.

Of course not! - answered the young man.

What about stealing?

No.

What about killing?

No...

“So go,” exclaimed the teacher, “and learn all this.” And once you know, don’t do it!

What did the sage want to say with his strange advice? Do you think the young man should have learned to be a hypocrite, to deceive, to kill?

Teacher:

Of course, the thought of the sage of the ball is this: whoever has not learned and experienced evil cannot be truly, actively good. Do you think good and evil are related?

(Students express their point of view).

Teacher:

In fairy tales, good always triumphs over evil. How are things going in the modern world? Do good deeds, thoughts, and aspirations always remain noticed by others, and are villains punished? This is what our further conversation will be about. Guys, what do you associate the word “evil” with?

(Students' answers).

Evil is always destruction, suppression, humiliation. It leads to disintegration, to the alienation of people from each other. Good and evil can be thought of as two sides of the same scale; they are not always in balance. Constantly pulls first one, then the other. But which one will come out on top directly depends on each of us, on our thoughts, actions, desire to help others, and often on the simple desire to do good to people. Tell me, do you like to do good? What good deeds and deeds have you done?

(Students' answers).

Have you ever caused harm to someone, even unintentionally?

(Students' answers).

Guys, there are leaves in front of you. Write down what actions you have done that you want to forget, actions that brought trouble to someone. Or those qualities that don’t suit you and that you would like to get rid of.

(Students take notes.)

Now tear up these leaves. We will assume that you have partially gotten rid of bad qualities, and you will never commit actions that can cause harm and trouble again.

Good and evil are interconnected with each other. Goodness is primarily associated with the ability to rejoice and have compassion, sympathize, empathize, respond to the feelings of others and keep your soul open. Good is everything that is morally valuable, that contributes to the well-being of a person and society as a whole.

Kindness is a moral and value characteristic of a person, including such properties thanks to which he is able to do good. Such properties include responsiveness, attention to people, generosity, willingness to sacrifice one’s interests for the sake of others, the ability to self-restraint, selflessness, etc. A special type of kindness is mercy. This is mercy of the heart, pity, gentleness, compassion, love for people.

Mercy is not weakness, but strength, because it is characteristic of people who are able to come to the rescue. The ability to sympathize and empathize is a sign of the spiritual maturity of a person. And tears of sympathy for another person are holy tears. They mean that a person has a soul and a heart.

Guys, which of you can say that he is a truly kind person?

(Students' answers).

Unfortunately, evil is very widespread and many-sided, it is insidious. Evil is often disguised and sometimes difficult to recognize.

A person must be judged by his deeds. Can a person who brings suffering to others be happy?

(Children's answers).

The Roman satirist Juvenal said: “No evil man is happy.”

And the tragedy in the city of Beslan in September 2004... Remember? What are some striking examples of self-sacrifice for the sake of the life of another person? 18 teachers died from the bullets of brutal terrorists while saving schoolchildren. Among them is 74-year-old physical education teacher Ivan Konstantinovich Kanidze, who saved 30 children and received 3 bullets in the back. The terrible disaster shook people, aroused the kindest feelings, and all the peoples of Russia provided assistance to the victims. They donated blood, transferred money, brought things and toys to the children.

Let's discuss together some issues that concern everyone:

Is it possible to be kind at all without showing kindness in your deeds?

Is it possible to force a person to be kind?

Do you agree with the idea that the beginning of a good attitude towards people is the ability to forgive?

(Children's answers).

Teacher:

Imagine that your offender found himself in a critical situation, for example, fell into an ice hole. There is no one except you. No one hears his cry for help. What will you do? And why?

(Children's answers).

Evil is contrary to good. What kind of person is called evil?

(Children's answers).

Evil and good live in our world. Let's summarize:

Evil is everything that destroys a person’s soul.

Evil is war and betrayal, envy and greed, it is the persecution of people of a different nationality, a different skin color. (racism, genocide, extremism).

Kindness is helping each other, support in difficult times, caring for one’s neighbor, humanitarian assistance, mutual assistance.

Evil is drug addiction, smoking, alcohol.

Goodness is caring about health, the desire to help your loved ones and yourself. This is mother's love, children's love, love for one's neighbor. This is the moral foundation of our society.

Evil is when the strong offend the weak, when the younger ones do not respect the elders, and adults do not care about children.

Good - when love rules the world!

Guys, let's create rules of kindness together:

Help the sick, the small, the weak, those in trouble;

Forgiving others' mistakes;

Don't be greedy;

Show pity for others;

Don't be jealous;

Help people;

Share the latest with a friend;

Protect the weak.

Teacher:

Let us now, in the few minutes remaining before the end of class, increase at least a little goodness in the world. Let's create an emblem of goodness together. I believe that there should be a sun in the center of the emblem (on the board - a model of the sun). I will ask each of you to add rays to the emblem. And on the rays write your concept of good (everyone has a ray, attach the rays to the board).

For me, goodness is selfless help to people. And I attach this ray to the emblem (the teacher attaches the ray).

Everyone present writes their concepts and attaches rays to the emblem.

Teacher :

Always do good and evil

In the power of all people

But evil happens without difficulty

It is more difficult to do good.

Teacher:

Our class hour is coming to an end. And I would like to read to you a few statements about the goodness of great people:

1. Miguel Cervantes: “Nothing costs us so little or is valued so dearly as politeness and kindness.”

2. Jean-Jacques Rousseau: “True kindness lies in having a favorable attitude towards people.”

3. William Shakespeare: “To appreciate kindness in a person, you must have some of this quality in yourself.”

4. Blaise Pascal: “The smarter and kinder a person is, the more he notices goodness in people.”

5. Leo Tolstoy: “Kindness is the quality that I wish to acquire more than all others.”

6. Mikhail Prishvin: “The best thing I keep within myself is a living feeling for kind people.”

7. Maxim Gorky: “How to treat a person well, humanely, cordially.”

A person who does good to others feels happy.

Popular proverbs:

“If you spend an hour in goodness, you will forget all your sorrows,” “He who lives in goodness walks in silver,” “It is well remembered, but goodness will never be forgotten,” “To offend the poor is not to wish goodness for yourself,” “It is bad for the one who does no good to anyone"

“Let's do good while we have the strength. Otherwise, then both you and I, on the eve of the grave, will only reap evil.”

“Do good, so that by loving, good will find you. Do not commit evil, lest evil destroy you.”

Teacher:

On this good note we end our class hour. Now I will put out the candle and hope that in the reflection of its fire all our unkind thoughts have burned out.In conclusion, I would like to wish everyone health, hope, faith, and kindness.
Let the house be warmed with love and let everyone’s dreams come true!

Let's sing the song “On the Road of Goodness” (lyrics by Yu. Entin, music by M. Minkov).

(Everyone sings the song)

Good and evil are the basic concepts of morality. Every person has been taught these aspects since childhood. Everyone measures their actions against this standard. It has a name - morality. Every child is taught to distinguish between good and evil, what is good and what is bad. Children are not able to fully evaluate their actions and their consequences. But teenagers already clearly understand what is what. And sometimes they consciously choose evil and vile actions.

Good is a person’s actions aimed at benefiting another living being. Good people are needed always and everywhere. They bring light, warmth and joy. It is impossible to live without such people. They keep society from moral decay. Goodness is the only salvation in the stormy ocean of tough life.

If there were no kindness, the world would soon end. The strong would destroy the weak without a second thought. Harsh laws can be clearly seen in the wild. The scary thing is that the predator is relentless, he has no pity or compassion. But he has a goal and he will achieve it by any means. Unfortunately, today there are more and more “predators” among people, tough and ruthless. The only thing that can stop them is cruel treatment if they are pushed to the wall. They will never stop on their own. This is what makes evil so scary. It won't stop. The only way to stop him is through brute force, but not everyone has it.

Life is about struggle. The fight between good and evil. Each person decides for himself what will be more in his life. It all comes down to moral choice. If an individual chooses good, then his life will be filled with love, tenderness and light. Other people will be drawn to him. But, if the choice falls on evil. One, two and more. A person's life will get worse and worse. The person will be filled with anger, rudeness, hatred and rage. Soon it will become unbearable for those around you. Everyone will avoid him and reduce communication as much as possible. Few people want to communicate with an evil person. It does not help to grow and develop, but only pulls down, towards degradation.

But there is a way out of this too. It all starts with awareness and recognition of the problem. This is a step towards correction. Next, you need to change your thinking and bad habits. This is the most difficult thing. You need to start doing good deeds and helping others. Over time, life will change and joy will come.

Option 2

From childhood we are familiar with the concepts of good and evil. Adults explain to us every day that it is good to be good, and bad to be bad. The police insist on crossing the road only when there is a green light or at a zebra crossing; doctors persuade us that getting sick is bad. Why bad? If this allows you not to go to school, lie in bed and eat a lot of delicious dishes prepared by a caring mother. Firefighters warn that matches are not a toy and are evil in the wrong hands.

At school they say that a B is good and a C is bad. But no one can answer the question of who decided this and why.

All their lives people are put in situations where they are confronted with different things in black and white, in good and bad, in good and evil. And a person is obliged to choose one of the sides; he has no right to be neutral, because in society you are either a worthy citizen or not.

Even religion has its good and its evil. Nor can fairy tales make do with only positive examples. They definitely need the evil sides of life in the form of the Serpent Gorynych and the Nightingale the Robber.

Helping those in need is good, humiliating the weak is evil. Everything is simple and clear. And it is not at all difficult to distinguish between these two concepts. But which of them is stronger by nature and by nature? After all, today evil is presented as good. Or rather, if earlier people categorically said: “to steal means a thief!”, Now they find a bunch of arguments to continue the logical chain: “to steal means a thief, means cunning, means rich, can buy himself and his loved ones a comfortable life, Well done!"

The fine line between light and dark has been erased. And it was not circumstances that erased it, but people who are engaged in substituting concepts today. If it is profitable to be kind, I will be; if it is practical to be evil, I will be. The duplicity of people is scary. It became completely unclear where it had gone: pure, quiet and selfless goodness. Although if you really think about it, the answer is there. Evil has swallowed up good.

Now, in order to be good you need to go through seven stages of evil. Steal, deceive, destroy. And then build churches, help sick children and smile at the cameras, smile endlessly and enjoy being so beautiful and kind. A good man who ruined thousands of souls before he decided to lay the foundation of a new temple or hospital.

There are no concepts of good and evil now. They do not act as a separate front, they are a single fist that hits when it is not necessary and strokes when it is no longer necessary.

Essay on good and evil

The theme of good and evil is as old as time. For a long time, these two radically opposite concepts have been fighting for the right to triumph over each other. Since time immemorial, good and evil have made people argue about how to separate black from white. Everything in life is relative.

The concepts of good and evil are collective. Sometimes a seemingly good deed leads to negative consequences. Just like in an evil deed, some find advantages for themselves.

Good and evil are always inseparable, one does not exclude the other. For example, if for one person some news brings joy and carries goodness, for another this news can cause grief and negative emotions, and therefore carry evil within itself. Sometimes people identify certain objects and phenomena with evil: “money is evil, alcohol is evil, war is evil.” But if you look at these things from the other side? The more money, the more independent and wealthy a person is - he is well-fed and happy, he is ready to bring good to the world. Alcohol in small doses, paradoxically, can also bring goodness - one hundred grams of alcohol served at the front during the war, raising the morale of soldiers and acting as a pain reliever for severe wounds.

And even the war itself, a seemingly completely negative phenomenon, also carries in itself a piece of, if not good, but a certain benefit: the conquest of new lands, the unity and brotherhood of the allies, the cultivation of the will to win.

According to tradition, in fairy tales and films, good always triumphs over evil, but in life justice does not always triumph. But when planning to do something mean to someone, you must always remember about the universal “law of the boomerang” - “the evil emitted by you will certainly return to you.” Let's start with ourselves, be kinder and more merciful to each other, and maybe then in our cruel modern world there will be a little more good than evil.

Good in the modern world

It’s not at all easy to be kind,

Kindness does not depend on height,

Kindness does not depend on color,

Kindness is not a carrot, not a candy.

You just have to, you just have to be kind

And in times of trouble, do not forget each other.

And the earth will spin faster,

If we are kinder to you.

N. Tulupova

We encounter the concepts of good and evil already in early childhood, when fairy tales are read to us. There are always good and evil characters in them, as a rule, in the end good defeats evil. It’s the same in life – good fights evil everywhere. No matter how much we want peace and goodness in our land, there will be people who will do bad things.

My grandmother lived during the Soviet Union. She said that then all the peoples in this state lived peacefully and amicably. They respected the characteristics of each people, their culture, even their appearance. During the Great Patriotic War, when people were dying of hunger and cold, they shared even the small piece of bread that they had.

Unfortunately, in the modern world the concept of goodness has lost its value. People treat each other with distrust and disdain, and with contempt for Caucasians, Arabs and Muslims. Wars and terrorist attacks do not stop in the world. For some reason, people don’t understand that if each of us started doing good to each other, the world would become a better, cleaner and brighter place. Kindness, as we know, will save the world.

One thing is good: the world, of course, is not without good people. I'm afraid to imagine what would have happened if they weren't there?

Despite the fact that society has forgotten about mutual assistance, there are caring people who sympathize, sympathize and help. For example, the Gift of Life charity foundation, created by kind people to help children with serious illnesses. They collect funds for expensive operations that save the lives of little people. You could say this is a ray of light, hope for sick children. These people work out of a sincere desire to help people and change the world for the better. I admire Chulpan Khamatova, Konstantin Khabensky. These are the most striking examples of kindness and responsiveness for me. These are people with big hearts and huge souls.

Recently, I also took part in a concert for a girl with cerebral palsy, who was supposed to be our classmate. But due to illness, she is unable to attend school and recreational activities. Therefore, my classmates and the class teacher prepared a small concert, which we performed at her home. We sang, danced, recited poems. Our goal was to cheer her up and distract her. And we succeeded. She was very happy to see us and cheered up. Each of us, among other things, prepared our own gift for her. She unexpectedly received a lot of toys, sweets and prizes, which she was incredibly happy about. We were also glad that she liked everything. Our action, pleasant and necessary at the moment, done without effort, made both her and us happy.

“Kindness is something that the deaf can hear and the blind can see,” said Mark Twain. This is why people should do good. Goodness makes us strong and happy. Kindness teaches us to take care of our neighbors and not to forget that there are a lot of people around us who need our help.

For myself, I concluded that goodness and good deeds are not a feat, but normal behavior for a person.
