2) In 2005, it was replaced by the domestic 2.2-liter ZMZ-51432 engine with a 16-valve timing, developing 114 forces at 3500 rpm and 270 Nm at 1800-2800 rpm.
3) And finally, the Chinese version of the F-Diesel 4JB1T with 2.2 liters was put on the "Hunter", the output of which is 92 horsepower at 3600 rpm and 200 Nm at 2000 rpm.

The latest diesel version of the Hunter appeared with a 2.2-liter engine from the same Patriot, which produces 98 hp. with. Now models with such an engine can only be purchased from hand.

The transmission of an SUV consists of a 5-speed manual box and a 2-speed transfer case. The Hunter's wheel arrangement is 4x4, but the front axle is switchable.

Speed ​​is clearly not the element of this SUV. The maximum figure for it is 130 km / h - the petrol version. Diesel is inferior to this indicator by 10 km / h. There is nothing to say about the dynamic characteristics at all.

The high cross-country ability of the Hunter also requires good fuel consumption. So, the gasoline model consumes on average 13.5 liters, the UAZ "Hunter" diesel "eats" less, but not much, its average consumption is 10.1 liters. Note that these are indicators when driving on a paved road. Off-road consumption will increase significantly.

Configuration and cost

UAZ "Hunter" is no longer produced, although dealers still have new models of this SUV, without mileage, and even in several trim levels. But there is a complete set, but there is no optional equipment as such. For example, the basic model, referred to as "Classic", the equipment includes:

The top-end equipment - "Trophy", in addition to the options described, has protection for steering rods and transmission units, a car with it is also available in a special color and with exclusive discs. This is where all the options ended.

It is worth mentioning the special "Victory" series of "Hunter", which ended the production of this SUV. It is timed to the 70th anniversary of the Victory, thanks to which the car received some special options - an army paintwork with airbrushing of musical notes (the Maestro's distinctive sign from the movie "Only Old Men Go to Battle"), as well as a souvenir set consisting of a raincoat-tent, an entrenching tool and bowler hat.

Another indisputable advantage of this car, along with its cross-country ability, is its low cost. And although the production of "Hunter" has already been stopped, it is still possible to buy a new SUV, however, only with a gasoline engine.

The basic version of the "Hunter" with an all-metal body will cost the buyer only 469,000 rubles. The model with the "Trophy" package has a cost of 529,900 rubles. The SUV of the special "Victory" series will cost the same amount.
