What is central locking in a car. Central locking and its device: safety first. Features of the central locks of VAZ models

home / traffic rules online

For the convenience of using vehicles, car manufacturers have long used central locking in their equipment, which is a subsystem of a larger “comfort” system and is often combined with an alarm system. Central locking - locks one or all of the car's doors. In addition, he is responsible for unlocking the hatch cover of the fuel tank and the trunk. If the car model is old, then the system can be installed additionally. Has a remote control (DU).

How it works

The car central locking system includes:

  • Input sensor: limit switches and microswitches.
  • Block - central locking control.
  • Actuators.

Input sensors include:

  • Limit door switches - responsible for the location of the car doors, transmitting a signal to the power supply.
  • Microswitches - are responsible for the structural elements of the locking device.

Micro Switch Functions:

  • Two microswitches - fix the front door cam mechanism: one is responsible for the “lock” signal (blocking), and the other “unlock” (unlocking).
  • Two more are responsible for the central locking.
  • The microswitch of the lever mechanism of a drive of the lock.

Such a device involves transmitting a signal from the microswitches first to the control unit, then to the power circuit, through which the signal goes to the doors (actuators), the trunk lid and the fuel tank hatch. Result: locks open.

Actuator - an actuating device due to which the lock works.

Comprises:

  • Electric motor.
  • reducer.

The system works remotely (remote control): There is a special remote control button on the ignition key, the signal is transmitted to the antenna, from it to the unit. The range of the remote control is 10 meters. You can connect to the alarm.

Control block

The block is responsible for the operation of the lock. The control circuit includes digital elements - they transmit a signal to the rest of the system components.

Such a device of the central locking system of a car interacts with the alarm system, and can also be controlled by a remote control. You can install it yourself, but most modern cars already have a central locking with remote control.

The remote control operates from a separate electronic unit, which is connected to the system and controls it.

Central locking functions

The advantage of the central locking device with remote control in the car:

  • Saving time. Instead of closing each door in turn, you need to close one - the rest are blocked automatically.
  • Versatility. The device is standard. There is no need to select a model.

The standard car lock kit consists of:

  • Electric drive (five-wire).
  • Central locking.
  • Two wire drives.
  • Control Controller.

The system is activated by a key or remote control.

Functional features:

  • The system works with any type of alarm.
  • The remote start button is placed on the keychain for convenience.
  • If the car has an alarm and a remote control, it makes no sense to order another one - it's better to save money.
  • In addition to the doors and hatch, you can also connect the trunk of a car. They can also be controlled by the remote control.
  • An important feature is the recoding of the safety features. For example, when speeding, the doors are automatically locked. Or set the opening in turn: first the door on the driver's side, when pressed again, the rest.

System installation

When buying, it is advisable to pay attention to the original kit recommended by the car manufacturer, although they are not always affordable.

Most often, the choice falls on a standard universal kit, which includes:

  • Wires.
  • Cables.
  • fasteners.
  • Controller.

The more expensive system is equipped with a remote control.

To install the system kit you need:

  • Central locking system.
  • Copper two-core wire (4 meters).
  • Screwdrivers (Phillips and flat).
  • Spanners.
  • Ticks.
  • Pliers.
  • Drill + drills.

Installation algorithm:

  • Disconnect the terminals from the battery.
  • Remove the trim from the doors (remove the handle and the screws in the corners).
  • Unscrew the plastic door screw.
  • Steering wheel screws.
  • Find a place to install the system (recommended - lower left corner).
  • Make holes for the activators with a drill in each door.
  • Installation of lock activators, fix with self-tapping screws.

  • Installation of the activator to the rod, combining the center of the stroke of the actuator and the lock.
  • Installation of clamps on hand traction.
  • Check wiring.
  • Pull the wires from the activators to the holes (draw between the body and the door using a rubberized tube).
  • Remove instrument panel.
  • Replace the power window wires and connect them to the drive.
  • Connect activator drives.
  • Isolate the wires and place inside the door.
  • Run the wires into the panel
  • Run the wires into the glove box.
  • Installation of a tube through passage.
  • A fuse is installed in the connector and connected to the power supply, and the entire device is placed under the torpedo.

  • Connect the wire of the central lock to the car (minus-housing, plus-fuse).
  • Check if the system is working.
  • Collect upholstery.

It is desirable to place the wires in a rubberized tube.

How to care for the central lock

The central locking in a car is a complete system that provides additional convenience and security, but it requires additional care. Problems with locks in a car usually occur in winter: after washing, if the locks are poorly blown, moisture freezes in them and grabs traction.

To prevent this from happening, the car must be kept with the engine running, periodically forcing the locks to work for about an hour. Or just drive around the city until the car dries out.

More information about the device and connecting the central lock on the video:

Connecting the lock to the alarm

Connection to the alarm system depends on the type of car central locking device:

  • Controlled by negative impulse.
  • Driven by positive impulse.
  • It is controlled by a mixed impulse (practically does not occur).

The type of impulse depends on what charge it is connected to the car alarm.

The difficulty lies in finding the right wires, on which the pulse is determined using a probe. First you need to check the wires coming out of the door. If they are found, the door will open or close.

If the wires are not found, you need to check the central locking unit. It can be found by listening for the clicking of the relay. If it was possible to disassemble the block and find the points of impulse supply, an alarm is also attached here.

Another possible location for the wires is at the driver's door of the car.

For the first two types of pulse, the search is the same, just set the desired pulse.

Central locking is an important accessory in any car. It makes the operation of the vehicle much more comfortable. Its whole essence boils down to the following: it opens and closes all doors, including the trunk, at the click of a button on the remote control.

Attention! Modern models of central locks with remote control have keyless access.

This means you don't even have to waste time looking for a keychain in your jacket pocket. The system itself will determine that you have come and unlock the doors. By the way, as soon as you move to the prescribed distance, there will be a closure.

Device

The design and functional features of the elements of the central lock

The central locking device consists of the following main elements:

  • control block,
  • executive elements.

Also included is a remote control and other elements that allow quick installation of the central lock. Each of these system nodes performs the functions assigned to it.

The role of the control unit is to receive and process the signals it receives from the sensors. Based on the received and analyzed data, commands for opening or closing are generated.

The remote control is a conventional radio transmitter operating at a certain frequency. In this case, the transmitter in the control unit sends signals constantly, but only the device that knows the corresponding cipher (automatic detection systems) can answer them. Of course, it is built into the remote control. The antenna is responsible for receiving the signal, you can often see it on the car.

Of course, the radius of operation of the central locking system is very different. But in most cases, manufacturers do not go to extremes and set the radius within 10 meters.

Sensors in the central locking system also play the role of microswitches. Moreover, they are also door limit switches. Microswitches are needed in order to fix the position. In this case, a limit switch is used for the transmission itself.

To understand how the central locking works, let's look at the whole process using a specific example. Any front doors of a car have cam mechanisms. They are also equipped with microswitches. They monitor the position of the castle in the course of their work.

Attention! One of the switches gives a signal to unlock, and the second to lock.

The drive is equipped with a lever mechanism. The microswitch is responsible for fixing the position and its tracking. It is enough to open the door, as the contacts of the device close. This position prevents the central lock from being activated.

Each switch in the design sends signals to the control unit. There is one important amendment to be made here. All systems can be divided into two types:

  • centralized,
  • decentralized.

In the first case, the center is responsible for everything. In the second Each door has its own block. It is they who receive signals from the central unit, after sending the control data.

Attention! Some car manufacturers go to the extreme and add a few more blocks to the system to increase performance and reliability. But this is not always justified.

After processing the data, a command is generated, which is given to the same actuators. This sets them in motion. As a result, doors open and close.

The second name of the central lock actuator is an actuator. It works together with a gearbox and is essentially a motor powered by electrical energy.

The gearbox is responsible for the rotation of the motor in the desired direction. Thanks to him, reciprocating motion is carried out. The result of his work is the movement of the lock cylinder in the right direction.

The electric drive is not the only one used in car central locking. Although it is worth recognizing that every year this technology is becoming more and more popular due to its high performance.

As a fairly common alternative in the past, one can recall the pneumatic drive of the central lock. At one time, this technology was used by such world-famous companies as Mercedes and Volkswagen.

Principle of operation

When the front door is locked, the microswitch is activated. This is a starting point that will help you understand how the central locking works. As an example, consider a scheme in which each door has an individual block, including the trunk.

Attention! Modern models also have access to the vehicle's tank cap.

The switch sends a signal to the door block, only from there it is redirected to the center. It controls all units, and those electric motors. As a result, the actuators on all the doors of the central lock are launched.

To prevent the electric drive from repeating its work, a signal is created by microswitches. To unlock, just turn the key, press a button, or enter a safe area.

Nevertheless, the principle of operation of the central lock with remote control (remote control) is slightly different, although the differences are minimal. Everything happens with the push of a button. But The signal goes to the antenna of the control unit. There, the information is processed and from there it is transmitted to secondary units installed in the doors and trunk.

Along with the central lock, the alarm is also activated. A very useful feature in modern systems are devices that ensure the complete closure of windows. The three-in-one formula is considered the most effective and in demand among motorists.

The principle of operation of the central lock in the event of an accident is very important: all doors are unlocked automatically. This allows you to safely leave the car. In this case, two blocks are in contact. The first is responsible for passive security, and the second for managing locks with their blocks.

How to install a central lock with your own hands

If you have long decided to upgrade your car by making closing and opening doors a fully automatic process, you will not be disturbed by instructions on how to install a central lock with your own hands.

Preparation

Everything starts with preparation. To install the device you will need at least four meters of two-core copper wire. Of course, you can’t do without a chest with tools either. In it you should have:

  • screwdrivers,
  • ticks,
  • spanners,
  • drill,
  • pliers,
  • drill.

Only having this whole set, you will be able to carry out the installation of the entire structure with high quality. Also, in the process of preparation, do not forget to check the availability of all the necessary components in the purchased kit.

Attention! Do not buy too cheap set. It is better to spend a little more money, but get reliable equipment that will last for many years.

Installation

Installation of the structure begins with the removal of the skin from each door. But before that, you need to disconnect all terminals from the batteries. This will allow install the system without danger of electric shock. The following steps follow:

  1. Remove the panels.
  2. Choose a location for installation. The best place is considered to be the lower left corner. Otherwise, there is a risk that the glass will interfere with the operation of the locks.
  3. Install activators for the central lock.
  4. Connect the rods and activators and secure clamps. It is very important to check the wiring when connecting each device.
  5. Stretch the wires. Use plastic clamps to secure them.
  6. Remove the dashboard. The same thing needs to be done with the old wires responsible for the operation of the power windows. Lay new cables and connect them.
  7. Connect drives and insulate them.
  8. Push the wires into the dashboard and glove compartment.
  9. Install the pass pipe.
  10. Attach the fuse to the connector. This element must be connected to a common power supply. The resulting design is mounted under the torpedo.
  11. Connect the central lock to the car. The minus goes to the case, and the plus is connected to the fuse.

After that, the installation of the central lock can be considered complete, as you can see, there is nothing complicated about it. It is not surprising that most drivers themselves decide to do it themselves.

Attention! After checking the operation of the system, you can install the casing back, like the panels.

Important nuances

When installing a central lock with your own hands, there are certain nuances that will help you do the job at the highest level. Here are the main ones:

  • For pulling wires, it is best to use a corrugated tube.
  • Do not run wires along the bottom of the doors. This may lead to a short circuit.
  • To achieve better accuracy, the rod can be bent.

Results

The central lock is an important accessory that allows you to increase safety and comfort. At the same time, its installation can be done by hand. Just follow the instructions.

It's nice to be able to unlock and lock doors with a key fob rather than with a key. A simple central lock is of limited value because it takes up little space in the car. The capability of the car is a big advantage that many older cars don't have.

Installing a central lock does not require significant costs. However, in order to mount it, you need to demonstrate dexterity in work (it should be noted that the circuit of such a device is quite simple). If you can devote a few hours of your time to the installation, it's worth the effort. Otherwise, in order not to lose your nerves, it is better in service workshops.

If you decide that connecting with your own hands is within your power, study the following recommendations.

Important parameters and functions of the central locking

The central lock, or central locking system of car locks, is an auxiliary device, one of the components of the comfort system. Its presence brings convenience, because by pressing one button on the remote control you can unlock all the car doors without a key.

What else is the central lock used for?

Currently, in addition to opening the doors, this system activates the opening and closing of the trunk, the fuel tank cap, and. In a car that is equipped with power windows, the central locking remote control can also be used.

The scheme of the central lock is quite simple. The system combines:

  • input sensors (door limit switches and microswitches are used, which are located in the lock design);
  • central lock control unit;
  • actuators (also called activator or actuator).

The principle of operation of the central lock

The signals from the switch are sent to the control, which, in turn, redirects them to the central locking control unit. Then the signal passes to the door control units, where the control of the impact on the actuators of the door lock is formed. Based on the received signals, the door control units activate the activator (it is a 12 V DC electric motor, which is combined with a simple gearbox).

Before you get started

Before starting the installation of the system, you need to properly prepare:

  • buy the mechanism itself;
  • purchase the necessary tools.

Buying a central lock

8. Checking the performance of the central lock.

After you have connected the battery, check the operability of the mechanism - both its mechanical part and the electrical one. The stroke of the rods should be smooth and easy.

9. Restoration of the dashboard and door trim.

After making sure that everything works properly, install the dashboard and side door trim in their place.

On the video - how to install the central lock:

  1. Pull all the necessary wires through a special corrugated tube - this way you protect them from chafing.
  2. To most accurately install the central lock, the rod can be bent.

The presence of a central locking system is not only a convenience, but also a quick, safe way to open and close the car. Today, more and more vehicles are equipped with such devices from the factory. But if you don't have such a system, it's fairly easy and quick to set up. As a rule, the place where the central locking system is located is the door or the center console. Have you already installed CC? We are ready to read about your experience.

Progress does not stand still, new technical solutions and developments appear every day. In the world of automotive electronics, there are already a lot of devices and devices that can make life easier for the driver.

On foreign cars, even of the old years, you can find not only an alarm system with a central lock, but also side mirror heaters, an electric sunroof, heated seats and other electronic stuff. In Zhiguli, one can only dream of this, so in this article we will tell you how install central locking on the VAZ 2101-2107, which will be controlled by an alarm.

central locking- central locking system, which allows you to simultaneously close or open all the doors of the car. The system can be remote controlled and belongs to the category of vehicle auxiliary systems.

I would like to warn you right away that the article does not claim to be the best instruction or installation method. This is a personal experience, so you always have the opportunity to make something better, prettier, more comfortable, and so on.

What is required to install a central lock on 2 doors?

  1. Working and vehicle-mounted alarm system with power outputs to control door locks.
  2. Activators, actuators, actuators, solenoids, electric drives or, finally, just central locks - 2 pcs.
  3. Wires are two-core, copper. The diameter or section of each wire must be at least 0.75 square. The length is about 3-4 meters.
  4. Clamps plastic - pieces 10, it is possible more, "in reserve".
  5. Miscellaneous: electrical tape, heat shrink tubing, wire cutters, screwdriver, soldering iron, solder, multimeter, drill, drill bits, electric extension cord, etc.

Before proceeding directly to the installation of central locks, we will analyze each item above in order, in more detail.

1) In this article, we will not talk about how to install the alarm yourself, but assume that it is already installed. The cheapest option (about 1300 rubles) - simple alarm no feedback.

Which model to choose, how to connect it correctly, how much it costs and other questions on car alarms will be discussed in another article. Consider just a few important points.

Firstly, the main signaling unit must have a connector (usually 6-pin) with power outputs for connecting door locks. Secondly, before buying, decide in advance whether you need an additional signaling channel. It can be used to open the trunk or, for example, to implement the "light path" function and others like that. It all depends on your imagination and ideas, so it's up to you.
2)

Lock activators as soon as they are not called, so do not be surprised by so many names. We will stick to this term. The central locking solenoid most likely means an electromagnet, which is most often installed to open the trunk. In terms of power (traction force), it is much stronger than plastic activators, but it also costs more.

The approximate price for a conventional central lock activator with 2 leads (two-wire electric lock) is 100-120 rubles. a piece. For 2 doors, you will need two activators, the total cost is about 250 rubles. The kit for each activator includes a special bar for fixing the central lock and self-tapping screws, as well as a rod, screws and a metal fixing plate.

3) To save electrical tape copper wires it is desirable to take in general insulation around insulated conductors, but you can also buy separately (single-core). The cross section of the conductor must be at least 0.75 square. The current consumption of a conventional central locking electric drive can reach a peak of 5A.

In car dealerships, you can pick up wires of various diameters, colors and lengths. Some are sold in ready-made mounting kits or kits. Individually or "by footage", most often, there are single (single) wires.

We advise you to go to a regular electrical shop and buy a two-core copper cable (the individual wire of which has a stranded conductor). For example, a cable PVA 2x0.75 (with a PVC sheath) or PVA 2x1 mm is suitable. These wires are used to connect various electrical appliances, power tools and other machines and devices. The cost is about 12-15 rubles per 1 meter.

You can look for special automotive wires PGVA, which are designed for automotive equipment and appliances. They also have PVC insulation and are no doubt suitable for connecting central locks.

For reference: PGVA wires are designed for flexible connection of electrical equipment and devices with low rated voltage (up to 48 V) in temperate, tropical and cold climates. PGVA wire is resistant to vibration loads, cracking, gasoline and oils. With a single laying does not spread combustion.

When installing additional devices and using a second signaling channel, carefully study the table with permissible current loads. Most likely, to install a powerful solenoid that will open the trunk lock, you will need an additional unloading relay.

Clamps plastic tape needed to secure the wires. Purchase at will, 10 pieces will be enough.

A set of 100 pieces sized 2.5x100 costs about 50 rubles.

5) Other tools, fixtures and materials that may be needed during installation.

Installation and connection of central locks

The installation of the central lock should begin with the removal of door skins and other elements that may interfere with installation. Then, holes are drilled in each door to install a metal bar on which the door lock activator will be attached.

Having fixed and adjusted the plastic activator, we proceed to the connection and laying of wires. The task is to lead the wires into the car interior and connect to the alarm unit.

In order to avoid moisture getting on the wires and further failure of activators and other devices (power windows, door lighting), consider laying the wires along the door in advance.

Do not place wires at the bottom of the door, as this is where water most often accumulates.

When laying the wire, also pay attention to the most "problem" zone, namely the place where the wires are bent in the opening between the door and the body.

The best option is to use a rubber tube through passage. Such a corrugation will protect the wiring from chafing and kinks.

For a competent approach to business, as well as in order to be able to easily identify and find the necessary wires (+12 Volts, ground, control outputs from the alarm unit), it is better to remove the dashboard (dashboard) completely. Thus, you will not only simplify your work on laying wires, but also be able to connect, solder and insulate them without much difficulty.

On a VAZ 2106 car, the instrument panel is removed quite simply (four self-tapping screws and four nuts).

Twist or solder wires?

We recommend purchasing female and male terminals, as well as a special tool for crimping wires. In case of failure of the activator, you can easily replace it with a new one. To do this, you just need to disconnect the terminals, dismantle the old one and connect a working activator.

Twisting the wires and wrapping them with electrical tape is an unreliable option, in this case it is better to "twist" + "solder" + "heat shrink tube".

How to connect the central lock to the alarm?

Since the VAZ 2101-2107 car is not initially equipped with a central lock or electric door locks, you can install additional electric drives and connect them to the system as follows.

The blue-white and orange wires of the 6-pin connector of the main unit of the alarm system are connected to +12 V DC through 15A fuses. Green and blue wires to the mass of the car or, in other words, "ground".

The white wire to the blue wire for unlocking the door lock actuator, and the yellow wire to the green wire for the electric lock.

Most Chinese car alarms, especially inexpensive models (A.P.S. 2600 SHERIFF, Pantera CLK 355), have blocks similar in structure. Sometimes one gets the impression that Chinese manufacturers only change the label, while the "stuffing" remains the same. At least the 6-pin connector itself with power outputs for locks, as well as the colors of the wires, differ quite rarely.

Having familiarized yourself with the central lock connection diagram, feel free to proceed to connecting the wires and checking the operation of the activators. After successful tests, it remains only to collect all the removed parts in place and then carry out a "control" check.

Job done, congratulations! The approximate cost is about 500 rubles, excluding the cost of the signaling.

Conclusions, buying a central lock with remote control and other useful information

In order to install a central lock that will close all doors when the key is turned, you must purchase a separate central lock block(a small "black box"), as well as a special master activator (5 pins) for the driver's door, or also for the front passenger door (where there is a "larva" of the lock and the ability to open the door with a key).

In this case, there is no need to install an alarm, and the process of mounting and connecting the actuators is similar to the example above. The only differences are that you will have to lay additional wires for the driver's door electric lock, as well as "figure out" the connection diagram of the central locking control unit.

You can also buy a separate remote control central locking kit. Such a set already includes a central lock control unit, 4 activators, wires, fasteners and 2 key fobs. A universal kit will cost about 1000 rubles.

Where can I buy? In retail stores you will not find such a kit at the price mentioned above. To do this, use sites that sell electronics and other devices directly from China. Try not to contact intermediaries, but order directly.

The site is completely in English, so if you do not speak it well, use a translator from Google or another similar one to translate into Russian.

If you have any questions about installing a central lock, or you want to learn more about how to buy on this or similar sites, write to us through the "contacts" form (at the bottom of the page). We will try to answer.

Since the statistics on vehicle theft in our country is rather sad, and there is no way to improve yet, every car owner strives to provide his car with a protection system. In this role, complexes different in principle of operation can be used, and one of the simple but reliable systems that are invariably present in today's cars is the central lock. It guarantees closed doors, trunk, hood, windows and fuel hatch at the same time.

Installation of the central lock is possible with your own hands, and it represents an electromechanical system for controlling and locking doors of a central nature. It can be activated either by simply turning the key, blocking the doors while driving, or by means of the remote control. The latter can be a separate unit or be integrated into the key. If the car has power windows, the central locking can close them automatically.

Is it possible to connect the central lock yourself

Connecting the central lock will require a lot of effort, patience and time from a non-professional, but the result will be excellent. Before connecting the central lock, it must be purchased. At this stage, saving is extremely inappropriate, since low-quality, suspiciously cheap products are unlikely to meet any security requirements, and there is no guarantee that the lock will not jam during operation. It is also not recommended to purchase such a device with your hands.

The standard lock kit, which should be checked upon purchase, includes the following items:

  • control unit for the entire system;
  • four activators, each of which is equipped with a set of fasteners;
  • set of wires;
  • two remote control key fobs, which can be in the form of folding keys.

Attention! All new wiring that will need to be created when installing the central lock with your own hands must be placed in separate corrugated tubes - this will protect them from accidental damage.

Central lock control unit

For this entire security system, the central locking control unit is its main element - the “think tank”. According to its execution, it can be both simple and extremely complex, working on the basis of modern microprocessors. A block may consist of a single body, in which all its elements are combined, but recently, more and more often you can find a multi-body design. This became possible thanks to the creation of CAN-buses, and allowed the units to be placed in opposite parts of the vehicle, which increases the reliability and safety of the system.

The central locking unit is connected by wires to all sensors and actuators available in the system. Receiving and analyzing signals from sensors or a control panel, it transmits control signals to electric drives that lock/unlock doors or windows. If the car owner wishes, the lock control unit can also work with the turn signals of the car, giving light signals about closing / opening the doors. Since this element plays a major role, only the owner of the vehicle can know where the central locking control unit is installed - this will prevent it from being turned off or damaged by intruders.

Sensors and buttons of the central locking

The central lock connection scheme necessarily includes a lot of sensors, which ensure the correct operation of the entire system.

Actuators

Actuators, or actuators, can be used not only in electromechanical locks, but also in central locks with pneumatic control. In the latter case, they will work on compressed air.

electric drive

It is a plastic housing in which an electric motor and a gearbox are located, which converts the rotation of the motor into translational motion. Depending on the design, the electric drive may include one or two motors.

Pneumatic drive

It has a more complex design. It consists of a housing in which a membrane with a rod is placed. The housing itself has a built-in fitting for supplying compressed air. When air is supplied to the sealed housing of such a switch, it moves to the “closed” position, when suction is applied, the stem is drawn back and the lock opens. In more advanced pneumatic locks, solenoids are additionally installed - such a drive cannot be opened, for example, with a ruler.

How to connect the central lock with your own hands

It is better to start connecting the central lock with the installation of actuators. It is optimal if they are located on all four doors of the car. To install them, you will need to dismantle the door trim and thresholds. Even if the car left the factory without a central lock, as a rule, holes for the wires of this system are already provided for by the design. If they are not, you will have to drill them yourself. It is better to start work from the driver's door, where the main central lock will be located. One of the possible connection schemes is shown in the video:

Each lock is fastened with self-tapping screws, and its latches must be fixed to the rods of the manual block of the native lock. After that, you need to check the performance manually, making adjustments if necessary. After the adjustment is made on each door, you can proceed to the placement of the wires. From each actuator there are two pairs - two for ground, and two for the lock itself. All wiring, placed in corrugated insulation, is attached to the door trim with plastic clamps.

After completing this stage of work, all the output wires are switched to the central control unit, the location of which is thought out in advance. It is unreasonable to give any advice on block placement, since there is no single standard here, and each car owner decides this difficult issue for himself. After connecting and checking the operability of the entire system, you can screw the casing into place.

After self-installation of the central lock, it is required to carry out routine inspections of the entire system once every six months. All locks, central unit, wiring and its connections are subject to inspection. All areas with traces of oxidation are cleaned and re-isolated. To facilitate the work, the wiring can be called with a tester, but this will not allow you to check the status of the contacts.

Therefore, it is better to take the time to dismantle the skin and visually check it. Since after the installation of the system it becomes part of the on-board electrical network, maintaining it in a fully functional condition is also an important point in the performance of the central lock. Particular attention should be paid to additional electrical equipment connected to the general network, as well as the condition of the battery and generator.
