In which city of fret cars are produced. The history of the LADA brand (VAZ). Where is this station wagon made

home / Repair and maintenance

Lada Vesta sedan is quite warmly received by Russian motorists. Vaz wanted to wait for the reaction of the buyer Lada Vesta in a regular body before the sw cross went on sale. The reaction was positive, so the question of the appearance of the model in an alternative body version was not raised. There was only one question - when will this happen? On June 23, 2017, the premiere of the Lada Vesta SV and its "raised" version of the "cross sw" took place, the start of sales of which began in 4-plus months - on October 25. The list of available engines for the new Vesta frets includes 2 gasoline units with a volume of 1.6 liters with a capacity of 106 hp. and 1.8 liters with a return of 122 hp, available both with a "robot" and with classic mechanics. New VAZ items are also well received by customers, because it turned out that since the times of the Soviet Union, "a lot of water has flowed under the bridge", our compatriots are finally beginning to appreciate all the delights of the universal. A practical option for moving in our "directions" was the SV cross version, which combines a practical station wagon with increased ground clearance. The assembly of new products is carried out in Izhevsk.

Number of machines produced

Since the official start of the sale of the Lada Vesta Station wagon, the plant did not have time to assemble the necessary configurations, and the stocks of ready-made Vesta in the dealers' warehouses very quickly ran out. Sometimes the queue of customers reached more than 3 months, and dealers, as always, tried to sell to happy buyers as much additional equipment and services as possible (some, without a hint of hesitation, refused to give the already paid copy to the owner if he did not follow the seller's lead.) decreased, sales of Lada Vesta of all modifications are growing. Since the onset of 2018, 24,300 copies have been sold, more than half the result of the same period last year.

Start of production and start of sales

The Lada Vesta car, the sale of which even in the sedan exceeded all expectations, also found many of its buyers in the new version. They were waiting for his appearance on purpose, did not buy a sedan, and now their expectations were embodied in plastic, rubber, glass and metal. Vesta sw and its cross-country version began to be produced at the Izhevsk plant at the end of June 2017, and the start of sales happened 4 months later, when the date of October 25 began to flaunt on the calendar. On the same day, the cross version also went on sale, as previously planned, judging by information from official sources. At first, there were not enough cars for everyone; the official dealers quickly disassembled new modifications. Most of the cars that have not yet been assembled were bought out on pre-orders. There were ads from dealers who sold purchased new cars with a significant mark-up. After a couple of months, the excitement began to decline and station wagons began to appear on the free sale in showrooms. Is it the first time that VAZ has correctly calculated the marketing and released the right model at the right time? At least, before the significant demand for products (after the release of Vesta cross), VAZ could not dream. How long is this? We will find out the answer in a short time, but for now it remains to observe the events and rejoice at the success of the domestic manufacturer. In addition, not so long ago (April 10, 2018) in Kazakhstan, the most massive foreign market of AvtoVAZ, sales of new "universal" Lada models started, their production was set up at the Asia Auto plant in Ust-Kamenegorsk. Various configurations (similar to Russian ones, so we won't focus on) are already available for orders and purchase in 19 cities. The sales are carried out by the branches of the Bipek - Auto company.

Release date of the station wagon Lada Vesta

Surprisingly enough, station wagon cars are slowly beginning to squeeze out their counterparts in the back of the Russian Federation from their home in the Russian market. The official start of sales of the all-terrain wagon Lada Vesta Cross along with a lower "brother" began much later than the initially promised (after the premiere of the sedan) terms. The exit plans were not destined to come true. Some buyers waited patiently, while others bought cars of various brands and models. Despite all the problems that arose, the launch of a new body for production was another successful step of the Russian auto giant as part of the Renault-Nissan concern.

The main differences between the cross version and the station wagon

How strong, how did all this affect the rise in prices for products of the domestic automotive industry? Let's figure it out together

All-terrain vesta has only 1 complete set called "Luxe":

  • increased by 2 and a half cm (203 vs 178 for a simple station wagon SV);
  • slightly different interior design,;
  • a proprietary color, exclusive for the cross version, called "Mars" is available;
  • 4 airbags (2 front and a similar number of side);
  • on the arches, thresholds, a plastic anti-scratch body kit is installed;
  • 17-inch;
  • driver assistants - ABS, ESP systems with traction control;
  • steering column with steering wheel adjustment in 2 planes (up / down, towards / away from you);
  • heated front seats;
  • height adjustment of the driver's seat;
  • outside heated mirrors with electric adjustment;
  • heated windshield;
  • climate control system and maintaining the designated speed;
  • a good system with a very decent sound;
  • parking sensors;
  • cooled glove compartment and other necessary things.

It is also realistic to order additional option packages that add:

  • seat heating for rear passengers;
  • back sofa with armrest;
  • interior lighting LEDs;
  • a radio tape recorder with the ability to use a navigator; factory tinted rear windows;
  • rear view camera.

The rise in price of the SW cross Vesta in comparison with the “grounded” “car” can be simultaneously called significant, as well as small: the maximum configuration of the cross Vesta with a 1.6 engine on a manual gearbox will be about 780 thousand Russian currency. For the installation of a more voluminous power unit, you need to pay 25 thousand rubles and 25,000 for a robotic box developed by specialists of the Volzhsky Automobile Plant. The body paint is available in 9 color options; an additional payment of 12 thousand is required for the metallic one. Want an exclusive color? Just pay 18 thousand and you are the owner of the color under the interesting name "Carthage" (beige metallic).

Where is this station wagon made

The release of the Lada Vesta SW and SW cross was established at the car plant in the city of Izhevsk. To start the production of a new model, the plant workers had a chance to make changes to the equipment, to train personnel to work with the "noviy". By the way, on April 25, 2018, the Cross-versions of the Vesta sedan rolled off the assembly line of this enterprise, differing primarily in ground clearance, the value of which is similar to the raised SW - it is 203 mm.

Sold cars statistics

The new model called "Vesta" has pleased many motorists, as the statistics show. The growing sales compared to 2017 only give the VAZ management confidence, which is the reason for the attempt to enter the European market. Until the end of April, "Vesta" in the station wagon and equipment options "Comfort" with 1.6 liter engines. ecological class Euro-6 and any type of gearbox must reach car dealerships with a starting price of no more than 12,000 Euro. Avtovaz hopes to increase sales in Europe, because over the past year, 909 sold cars found their owners there.

conclusions

With the release of Vesta, Avtovaz just hit the bull's-eye, competing with the Korean & budget European auto industry (we don't remember about China, people cannot yet entrust their hard-earned money to automakers from this region). We can only wish good luck and increase the level of sales to our automaker. And we will continue to monitor the development of models of the Russian brand, albeit not without the help of foreign partners in the concern.

Where is Lada Vesta Cross collected in which city? Lada Vesta where do

Where is Lada Vesta produced?

To date, the designers of AvtoVAZ have unexpectedly often begun to delight domestic owners with new models of cars. Even in the recent past, we had to bitterly regret that there was such a meager production of cars in our homeland. A novelty, about which there is already a lot of talk, is Lada Vesta. This machine incorporates all the best ideas of foreign counterparts. The creators grow in professionalism along with their offspring. "Where is Lada Vesta produced on the territory of the Russian Federation?" - such a question is quite pertinent among ordinary people.

When production began, its features

In September 2015, the process of manufacturing the Lada Vesta car started. Two months later, the product is released for sale. At first, the model was viewed as another failure, but today Lada Vesta is being sold out in fairly large batches along with some foreign cars. The advantages of a car include:

  1. Affordable and reasonable price.
  2. Comfortable conditions inside.
  3. Attractive appearance and ample roominess.
  4. The stock assembly now includes ESP and ABS.
  5. The presence of two airbags.

The new Lada Vesta sedan is assembled and produced in Izhevsk, where the Lada Granta liftback is produced. Renault engineers assisted in the development of the body, which was designed using the latest software. The car frame is not inferior in strength to the Ford Focus. This has already been proven in the first crash tests.

Body assembly and painting Lada Vesta

Body assembly Lada Vesta The main work on welding car parts is provided by robotic precision equipment. However, it is impossible to do without a human presence here. Where Lada Vesta is assembled, each stage of the conveyor is determined by the actions of the workers. They carefully and accurately apply the part to the right place. Workers bring equipment to the areas to be welded.

Painting, which in the past caused great resentment among buyers, now enhances its own quality. Working with foreign companies that produce the best mechanical engineering products, the Izhevsk auto industry acquires new materials and technological innovations. First, the body is dipped in a bath with a specific solution, and then catapharesis soil is used. Most of the process is done by automation, but ordinary painters are needed to get the job done where clumsy machinery cannot be deployed.

Final sketch of the assembly

  1. Each worker responsible for the production of any small part of the car must approach the matter professionally, and the foreman must carefully follow the process.
  2. The creators of Lada Vesta took care of increasing the comfort in the cabin, using insulating materials against noise and vibration, not only on the bottom and engine, but even on the roof.
  3. The final stage of assembly, where Lada Vesta is produced, practically does not differ from a similar process for foreign cars. After painting, the doors are removed, which go to the revision workshop. Without them, it is much easier to assemble a salon. Having put the headlights and a bumper with a radiator, the connection is completed by docking with the chassis and the power unit.

They make Lada Vesta, for the most part, based on the experience of foreign professionals with the use of robotic technology, which greatly helps to assemble a quality product. The auto concern plans to produce not only sedans, but also a station wagon and a hatchback. The expanded model range will help get closer to the number of vehicles planned for 2017.

Many were interested in which plant, apart from IzhAvto, would carry out assembly work. In Russia, this place will be "ChechenAvto" in the city of Argun. Ust-Kamenogorsk "BipekAVto" on the Kazakh soil will also take on the assembly of Lada Vesta. Thus, the city of Izhevsk will not remain the only representative of the assembly process of this model, capable of producing products from AvtoVAZ.

Where is Lada Vesta Cross collected in which city?

Hello everyone! Many still wonder where the Lada Vesta Cross is collected? Despite the fact that sales of new items began in the fall of 2017, the majority did not know the answer to their question. And this is a very pertinent question. If earlier you only had to regret that there were so few own cars in Russia, now you can be proud that the new station wagon turned out to be successful and managed to make a lot of noise among the public.

Production and assembly of Lada Vesta SV Cross

Lada Vesta Cross is assembled in the city of Izhevsk at the LADA plant (formerly the IzhAvto plant). Many believe that Lada Vesta Cross is going to Togliatti, but this is not so. In 2017, the plant was renamed and is currently a subsidiary of AvtoVAZ. At the moment, the Lada Izhevsk plant, in addition to Lada Vesta Cross, produces Lada Granta in the body of a Liftback and a sedan Lada Vesta. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the plant performs not only assembly, but also other production cycles, such as the production of body panels, stamping, painting, welding and plastic molding.

The body of Lada Vesta Cross SV is assembled according to modern standards and using high-precision equipment. In terms of safety, Vesta Cross is not inferior to foreign brands, which was proven already in the first crash tests.

Assembly stages

After all the parts are stamped and ready, the body is assembled. For assembly, special robotic technology is used, but human participation cannot yet be dispensed with. Where the Lada Vesta Cross is assembled, a person is present at every stage of the assembly.

When the body panels are attached to the body, painting of the vehicle begins. First, the entire body is completely dipped in a special solution, after which it is covered with soil. Next, the robot paints the entire body. In the final part, the body is sent for quality control, where all paint flaws are manually eliminated.

After assembling the panels and painting the body, the car enters a special conveyor, where it is gradually hung with parts. At the stage of assembling the interior, the doors are unscrewed for convenience, and after the completion of the work they are again hung in place.

Next, the installation of exterior mirrors, headlights, radiator grill, moldings, etc. begins. In the final stage, the chassis is connected to the power plant. On this, one might say, the assembly of the Lada Vesta SV Cross is over.

Video from the place where Lada Vesta Cross is collected

We have already answered the question of where the Lada Vesta Cross SV is assembled, but did not show how. In the videos presented, you can see how the assembly process takes place.

Where else can Lada Vesta SV Cross be collected?

In addition to the former IzhAvto plant, the assembly of the Lada Vesta SV Cross is planned to be organized at the ChechenAvto plant located in the city of Argun. And the third plant will be BipekAvto, which is located in Kazakhstan in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk. Lada Vesta Cross will become the first model of AvtoVAZ, which will be produced at three plants at once in 2018.

Lada Vesta in comparison with frets.

Lada Vesta, in comparison with previous models, looks more interesting and beautiful.

This article describes the Lada Vesta about the characteristics of the car and its fundamental changes in comparison with other frets - cars of this family. A small part of the historical facts will also be touched upon.

We meet the new Lada Vesta. In 2015, the AvtoVAZ plant offered the Russian market a car that is completely new and, in fact, technology. Lada Vesta in comparison with the frets - previous models such as Lada Granta, Lada Priora, Lada Kalina, this is an unconditional step forward. The level of manufacturability and a fundamentally new design were well embodied in this car.

Where Lada Vesta is collected.

So, let's start with specifics. It should be noted where Lada Vesta is collected. Oddly enough, cars began to be produced not in the city of Togliatti, but at Lada-Izhevsk. The release began on September 25, 2015. And on October 22 of the same year, President Vladimir Vladimirovich tested a new Russian novelty. On first impressions, he really liked it, in particular for handling and a comfortable interior.

An important criterion is the fact that only a third of the car is assembled from imported parts. This is the radiator of the engine cooling system, the steering gear of the electronic power steering and almost all the electronics. Much in "Vesta" and Russian production. These parts are delivered to Izhevsk directly from the city of Togliatti. This is good news. After all, Lada Vesta wins in comparison with Priora, Garnet, Kalina, it looks more interesting, more beautiful and more reliable. This is the harmony of the new generation. The X concept makes the car recognizable and is a kind of visiting card. A very rich palette of body colors leaves no one aside. The radiator grille and headlights stand out especially gracefully. AvtoVAZ has never produced anything like this.

Fuel consumption per 100 km.

For country trips and around the city, this car is just wonderful. The driver will appreciate the efficiency of the Lada Vesta. Fuel consumption per 100 km is low. It is 9.0-9.3 l / 100 km in the city, 5.0-5.3 l / 100 km outside the city. This car has a deeply modernized engine producing 106 horsepower. Adaptation to high temperature conditions is an important criterion. The engine is able to easily start in temperatures below 30 degrees, and also to cope with high temperatures in hot summer conditions.

Transmission.

The new model is available with both manual and automated transmissions. The manual transmission of Lada Vesta, in comparison with competitors, will delight you with smooth gear shifting and the absence of "hum", which is typical for previous models of the Vaz family. There are several driving style parameters in the vehicle software. You can easily switch from one or the other control mode. Everything is like in foreign cars.

Adaptation to winter conditions.

As for adaptation to winter conditions, it also wins in comparison. Here we can highlight the fact that the door locks are completely protected from freezing, and the heating system completely warms up the interior and the driver at any given temperature. Heated mirrors, front seats and glass are provided, and a special plug on the radiator will protect the engine from the cold. In winter conditions, this is simply necessary.

Comfortable salon.

I would like to note the comfortable interior of Lada Vesta: comfortable seats, electro-mechanization, excellent materials used to create the panel. Good ergonomics and design are forward-looking, which is why it is so unlike other cars. Passengers will be as comfortable in the cabin as the driver.

The new generation of domestic cars is becoming a quality product of our time. Let's hope that the products of AvtoVAZ, in comparison with other manufacturers - competitors, will become better.

Lada Vesta accessories: what is it made of?

At the beginning of 2015, in February, the pilot assembly of LadaVesta began, and on September 25, a large-scale release of the new model started. The release of the new sedan became known back in August 2014, which both delighted and surprised the public. However, the model has just hit the domestic market, since November 25, 2015, mass auto sales began. Over the past 10 years, this is the first Russian car in the full sense.

Vehicle device

To get an idea of the size of the car, you can look at the Volkswagen Polo. Vesta and its wheelbase are only a few centimeters longer. Its total length is 4.41 m with a width of 1.76 m and a height of 1.49 m. In full outfit, the car will weigh from 1150 to 1200 kg. The exact weight may vary depending on the version. The thickness of the metal Lada Vesta can vary from 0.6 mm to 0.8 mm, and in some places, possibly more. There is no reason to believe that the new model will be any different from Lada Priora or Lada Granta. The car was developed on the basis of the B / S platform, which continued the previous design C. Unlike the Lada Silhouette, its successor received many updates: completely updated steering with power steering, modernized electrical equipment, imported climate control and a modified rear suspension base.

Lada Vesta engines

According to some reports, for starters, only the VAZ-21129 engine will be used in the car. It has a capacity of 106 horsepower, if the interior is "warmed up" to 5800 rpm, and a volume of 1.6 liters. However, by 2016, Lada Vesta will be equipped with a slightly more powerful Nissan HR 16DR engine, which will have 114 horsepower at 6000 rpm and the same volume of 1.6 liters. A similar engine was installed in the NissanSentra.

In addition, for the first time it is planned to use a 5-speed gearbox developed by the company in the car. However, later in the same 2016, along with the engine from Nissan, a French manual transmission will be supplied.

The 1.6 liter engine is considered by the company to be the most suitable for the model. It is unlikely that something more powerful will be put under the hood, for example, 1.8 liters. from VAZ. But more modest models with eight valves will not be installed here either.

Lada Vesta accessories

Among the well-known features, Lada Vesta will be equipped with an automatic ERA-GLONASS transmitter. This system, in the event of an accident, will automatically send a signal with a request for help and GPS coordinates to the main rescue services. The government plans to pass a law according to which such transmitters will be necessarily built into all cars on the Russian domestic market.

The middle-level Comfort package will contain the following set of functions: GPS, advanced climate control from Valeo, air conditioning, a DVR in the form of a rear view camera, two airbags, cruise control, electric windows for all doors from the Bavarian Brose, 16-inch cast Rollers, light and rain sensors and heated front glass. It is this type of configuration of the Lada Vesta that is planned to start producing from the very beginning.

Individual spare parts are the result of the work of many manufacturers. However, most of them are manufactured in our country. Thus, the car will be supplied with Continental tires, a well-known German manufacturer. If the Continental Eco Contact model is installed, this is one of the company's cheapest kits. The car radiator from Visteon Corporation - the leader in the world of component parts - is very high quality. Ventilation and brakes will be from TRW, and the generator, wiper and accelerator pedal from the world famous Bosch. In addition, the seats are from the Korean company Daewon, and the interior details are from AE2. The latter manufacturer is known for its designs for many cars, for example, for Nissan. The creators of the car surprised even more by installing a high-quality electronic control unit from Lear. On the market, its cost is higher than average.

As you can see, during the development of LadaVesta, they saved on some details, while others are quite consistent with the price category of the car. In other words, manufacturers from all over the world. However, this should not surprise us, VAZ, like others, follows the latest trends.

However, the company is not going to stop there. It is planned to release (possibly with all-wheel drive) the Lada Vesta Cross SUV. This will happen in the middle or second half of 2016.

As we have seen, the release of the new car can rightfully be called historic. How popular will it become? How will he be accepted into the motorists of Russia? Time will answer these questions.

How Lada Vesta collect photos and videos of the whole process

The start of production of Lada Vesta took place on September 25, 2015, the model went on sale on November 24 of the same year. Initially, the sales of the model were not encouraging. But now Lada Vesta is turning into a real bestseller on the market. Sales of the new Russian sedan are growing every month. Today Vesta competes on equal terms with the leaders of Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio. In addition to a good design, reasonable price, decent comfort and spaciousness, the new AvtoVAZ turned out to be a fairly high-quality car. Today we will tell you in detail how Lada Vesta is assembled, but first, we will answer the question, where is Lada Vesta assembled? The assembly of the new Russian sedan has been launched in Izhevsk (Udmurtia). Lada Granta is also assembled there in the back of a liftback. Ironically, back in Soviet times, the first liftback in the USSR was also produced there. Yes, the legendary IZH Moskvich Combi was made there. This is a modern production, where the Nissan Sentra sedan and the Nissan Tiida hatchback are being assembled in parallel (and because of the crisis they are constantly suspended). The equipment and the workers themselves in Togliatti and Izhevsk are somewhat different. The difference in quality Grants sedan assembly of Togliatti and Grants liftback Izhevsk production is different.

The body of Lada Vesta was designed using the best software products and with the participation of French Renault engineers. Therefore, the power structure turned out to be very tough. In terms of twisting performance, Vesta's body is three times stronger than that of the Samar family (2108-2109 and other modifications) and twice as strong as that of Lada Grant. According to this indicator, the domestic sedan caught up with the Ford Focus. The very first crash tests showed that the level of passive safety Vesta is better than the Korean twin brothers Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio.

How the body is assembled Lada Vesta video

To the delight of fans of the new car, Avtovaz has published a video of the Lada Vesta body assembly. Of course, not all operations are carried out with the help of robots, but the main operations for welding power elements are entrusted to them. Next, watch the video.

There have always been complaints about painting the bodies of domestic cars. Recently, however, Avtovaz has been solving this problem as well. Cooperation with the Renault-Nissan alliance allows us to obtain new technologies and materials. As for the Izhevsk production of Lada Vesta, cataphoretic soil is used here. Naturally, the body is dipped in a special bath before painting. But as in the case of welding, the process is not 100% automated, part of the work is performed by ordinary painters, who also monitor the quality of the paintwork. In some cases, human hands are more agile than robotic mechanisms.

The durability of the entire car, the preservation of its presentation, largely depends on the quality of the painting. According to this indicator, Lada Vesta meets all Renault-Nissan standards.

How the body of Lada Vesta is painted video

Quite a lot depends on the final assembly of any machine. After all, there is a huge number of small operations that are performed by completely different people. If a person misses some kind of operation, then the future owner can then look for a long time what rattles, creaks or sparks in his car.

I am glad that, before assembling the interior, they put quite powerful noise and vibration isolation not only on the bottom and the engine bulkhead, but even in the trunk and on the roof. A simple piece of additional noise insulation can provide a decent amount of comfort, especially for people who spend quite a lot of time in the car.

Final conveyor assembly Lada Vesta video

The assembly technology is no different from the same procedure when assembling a foreign car. Doors are removed from the painted car and sent for additional assembly. The absence of doors helps greatly to assemble the interior. The chassis and the power unit meet the car almost last. But the headlights are installed almost immediately. Upon closer examination of the following video at 7 minutes, you can see how easily and naturally the front part of the car (bumper with a radiator grill) is fastened. Apparently, the design of the front end of the body is generally a gift for car mechanics. Indeed, for wide access to the power unit, you can simply remove the bumper and radiator, which is somewhat reminiscent of the design of some Audi.

But the sedan is not the only modification of the Lada Vesta. Soon they will begin to produce cars in a station wagon, and a little later in a hatchback. In the near future, there will be a version of Lada Vesta Cross and Sport. In addition to the 1.6 liter engine with 106 horsepower, the family of the new Russian car will receive a more powerful 1.8 liter engine with 122 horsepower. By the way, the Vesta Sport modification will also have two types of engines, these are the forced 1.6 and 1.8 liter units, which will produce 140 and 150 hp. respectively. The front-wheel drive comes with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed robotic automatic. Expansion of the model range due to new versions of Vesta will certainly help Avtovaz to reach the planned production level of 100 thousand cars a year in the near future.

What sites will Vesta be collected on

Lada Vesta made a splash in the domestic car market. This is the first car of the European level, almost completely created in our country. Only some structural elements of Vesta are of foreign origin. The production of Lada Vesta was planned to be large-scale, but due to financial difficulties, the plans had to be made a little more modest.

Production bases

Initially, it was assumed that the new Lada Vesta would be assembled at the main plant in Togliatti. An assembly line was even set up, but on the whole it turned out to be not entirely profitable. And, this car demanded to make some correction of the cost price in order to prevent excessive price increase and get into the corridor assigned by marketers.

Therefore, it was decided that the new Lada Vesta will be produced at the finished test site in Izhevsk. Some of the parts are produced in the workshops of the main enterprise. That is, at the moment there are two fully operational production lines for the Lada Vesta car. At the same time, one of them is not fully loaded now.

Izhevsk

New Lada Vesta cars sold now are all assembled at IzhAvto. All the few copies from Togliatti were sold out in the first days after the start of sales. All further production was moved to Izhevsk for a number of reasons. Below we will analyze why the new Lada Vesta began to be produced at this enterprise.

Throughout the past year, AvtoVAZ was in a fever. Due to the leaps in the ruble on the market, every now and then there were problems with the supply of components for different models produced at the enterprise. By the time the Lada Vesta Lada Vesta was released, the problem became even more aggravated. Auto Lada Vesta turned out to be somewhat more expensive than originally expected. The only option to reduce the cost was to reduce the cost of its assembly. It was in this light that the company's management faced the question: where will the Lada Vesta be assembled?

For this we decided to adapt the production facilities of IzhAvto. this enterprise has already established a screwdriver assembly of Nissan Almera and Nissan Sentra. Also, Lada Granta is produced here. By the time the production was launched, Lada Vesta had to complete the modernization of additional workshops.

The IzhAvto plant had several advantages. The assembly is carried out on mixed lines. That is, up to four different models can be assembled on one stream. That is why it turned out to be much easier to launch the Lada Vesta car into production here. It was only necessary to install an additional line for stamping some of the body parts. Everything else is done on a common conveyor. Another distinctive feature of the Izhevsk plant is the use of manual welding. Robots are also present at the enterprise, but in general, the new Lada Vesta car is welded by hand. This nuance also makes it possible to assemble models with different bodies in one workshop.

In general, the idea of AvtoVAZ managers was completely successful. New Lada Vesta cars cost less than they could have cost in production at the main plant in Togliatti. New production facilities, recently reconstructed, were added to the business at the same time. At the same time, there was practically no need to spend additional funds to organize the process from scratch. This allowed the company to get out of an almost impasse situation with reduced funding from partners from Renault-Nissan, which coincided with a decline in sales of the company's products.

Other sites

All the information available about Lada Vesta, at the moment, indicates the presence of only one production point, which is located in Izhevsk. But motorists want to know everything about Lada Vesta. Therefore, questions often arise, where else will the new Russian car Lada Vesta be produced?

There are several assumptions about this, official representatives do not say where the Lada Vesta will be produced in addition to IzhAvto. Although there are several well-founded assumptions. Most likely, sooner or later, part of the production will go to the Togliatti plant. It is a matter of time, gradually the demand for the new model will grow, new modifications will appear, which will finally displace the obsolete Priora from the assembly line.

In addition, there are rumors that the Lada Vesta car will be produced at other enterprises. The most likely place of production is the Republic of Chechnya. It is also possible that the new Vesta will be assembled in Kazakhstan.

ChechenAuto

Few people know, but the production of cars in the Chechen Republic has been established since 2008. Therefore, knowledgeable people were not surprised by Ramzan Kadyrov's statement that the launch of Lada Vesta in the republic will take place already in 2016. But, there is no official confirmation from the managers of AvtoVAZ yet. According to their statements, this issue is being coordinated. Let's take a closer look at the prospects of this undertaking. For the production of the Vesta car, there is already a production base here. Now Lada Priora is being produced here, which is supposed to be removed from the assembly line in the very near future. Stopping the ChechenAvto plant is not very profitable from all points of view. Therefore, with a high degree of probability, the new Lada Vesta will take a place on the conveyor. According to unconfirmed reports, the first Vesta car can leave the factory gates in the fall of 2016.

Kazakhstan

The Asia-Auto plant has been assembling Russian Niva for several years. The usual screwdriver assembly is established here. In connection with the introduction of a recycling fee in Kazakhstan, Vest's car has risen in price for the residents of this country by more than two thousand dollars. Therefore, in order to increase the competitiveness of Lada Vesta and other models produced by AvtoVAZ, it was decided to organize the assembly of cars in Kazakhstan, since the production capacity allows this. According to managers, the assembly of the new Lada Vesta will begin at the beginning of summer. Therefore, the residents of this Asian country will not have any problems with purchasing Russian cars.

Conclusion Auto Vesta is currently produced only at IzhAvto. But, this is far from the only platform on which the long-awaited novelty will be assembled in the near future. At the same time, representatives of AvtoVAZ are silent about where the assembly will still be carried out. Apparently, the very first production facilities for the production of the model will start working in Kazakhstan. The next stage will be the already announced assembly at the ChechenAvto plant. Whether Lada Vesta will be assembled at the factories in Togliatti and in Cherkessk so far, it remains to be seen.

How was the Lada Vesta created?

August 2014 became a significant milestone in the history of LADA Vesta. It was at this time that the Moscow International Motor Show satisfied public interest and presented a concept car created at the Vercarmodel studio in Turin. At the request of AVTOVAZ, five more samples were made: one LADA Vesta WTCC concept, as well as two XRAY and LADA Vesta concepts. Two concepts were needed due to the demonstration in Togliatti at the same time.

According to the chief designer of AVTOVAZ Steve Mattin, due to lack of funds, production models will differ slightly from the presented samples. In the exhibition concept cars offered to the public, the most simplified filling is used, and the appearance is embellished with the help of various tricks.

Who is the author of the car interior?

The authorship of the LADA Vesta interior belongs to the talented Togliatti designer Andrey Bessolitsin, who previously worked fruitfully on the updated Priora and Kalina-2. The control unit for the Vesta air conditioner remains the same, VAZ.

The innovations include a multifunction steering wheel, devices in so-called wells, seat upholstery with original material with colored decorative inserts.

The interiors of production cars will be practically the same, comparing favorably with the salons of the models of previous years, and a person, being behind the wheel of a LADA Vesta, as they say, will feel the difference.

The car, which is planned to be launched into the series and the LADA Vesta concept, have similar dimensions. However, there is not a single serial part in the concept. Vesta is intended to replace Priore, the brainchild of the Lada B project, and will be in the middle of classes B and C.

The Lada Priora and the concept have the same length of 4.35 m, but the LADA Vesta has a wheelbase of 2.65 m, which is 15 cm more than the Priora.

Julien Droir, who worked for eleven years in the Renault design center, won the competition for the Vesta exterior, is responsible for the appearance of the LADA Vesta. Later, as a more knowledgeable and experienced specialist, he was entrusted with the exterior of LADA XRAY. Mattin and Droir did not become participants in the project from the first days of its existence. Before that, Togliatti residents already had good ideas of their own and alternatives in favor of Niva and Renault.

About borrowing

Much of the C project formed the basis of the Vesta platform, but there are also many undeniable successful borrowings, which, by the way, include the rear suspension beam from Renault. Although LADA Vesta was designed in Russia, to create a concept it was decided to contact the well-established Vercarmodel studio, whose designers over the past two years have distinguished themselves with such concepts as the Honda Civic Tourer Concept, Porsche Sport Turismo Concept, SsangYong SIV-I, Kia Provo , Changan CS95, Subaru Viziv Concept, Hyundai i-oniq.

Conclusion

At the heart of each concept car is an absolutely original technology based on the use of fake interior details and body elements. More specifically, the concept is just a foam plastic dummy mounted on a metal frame with wheels and a power plant in the form of an electric motor, manual transmission and lead-acid batteries located in the free cavity of the motor box and under the luggage compartment.

Foam body parts are manufactured on five-axis machines according to three-dimensional drawings created using special computer programs.

The basis for the creation of chairs are the seats from other cars, re-pasted with foam rubber and covered with leather in order to give the desired shape and appearance.

The front panel consists of a plywood base and a pattern tape applied to it. They give, so to speak, a presentation with the help of a film similar in texture to the simulated material, leather or plastic. And only, perhaps, glass and wheels can be called real. True, the wheels are also upgradable. All unnecessary is cut off from them, and then a new appearance is made from the model polymer.

When everything is ready, assembly, fitting and debugging takes place. As a result, it turns out so realistic that it is difficult for even an advanced motorist to guess that in front of him is only a model, which can not make you enjoy either the noise of the engine or the intoxicating speed. And this is not required. The purpose of the concept cars is to awaken the interest of potential buyers, and we must assume that the LADA Vesta concept does a good job with this.

This car is powered by a deeply modernized engine producing 106 horsepower.

LADA is a brand owned by JSC AVTOVAZ, the largest Russian manufacturer of passenger cars. Now the company is owned by the Renault-Nissan alliance and produces cars under the brands LADA, Renault, Nissan and Datsun. The main production and headquarters are located in the city of Togliatti.

The Togliatti manufacturer was born in 1966, when the leadership of the USSR decided to build a large automobile plant, which was supposed to produce affordable cars for personal use. Then in the Soviet Union there were only expensive cars in a very limited quantity, which did not meet the demand from the population.

Before the start of construction, an agreement was signed with the Italian automobile concern Fiat, which developed a technical project, supplied equipment and technical documentation, and also trained specialists. Many AVTOVAZ models were based on Fiat cars.

The construction of the plant started at the beginning of 1967 and was announced by the shock Komsomol construction site. It was carried out at an accelerated pace, 844 machine-building plants of the Soviet Union and more than 900 factories from other countries were engaged in the supply of equipment.

In 1970 the plant produced the first cars - "Zhiguli" VAZ-2101, which repeated the design of the Fiat-124. However, the Soviet car was assembled from domestic components and, according to its designers, had more than 800 differences from its Italian counterpart. She received drum brakes instead of disc brakes, increased ground clearance, reinforced body and suspension. All this made the VAZ-2101 more suitable for operation in the conditions of the roads and temperatures of the Soviet republics.

The car was equipped with a carbureted gasoline engine with a more advanced design of the upper camshaft. It was presented in two versions: 64- and 69-strong. The volume of the first was equal to 1198 cm cube, and the second - 1294 cc. The maximum speed was 142 and 148 km / h, respectively, and the acceleration time from the start to 100 km / h was 20 and 18 seconds.

The model required improvements, which were carried out by engineers as complaints were received. Therefore, she could no longer claim to be a cheap "people's car". However, this did not prevent her from becoming popular in the USSR, where there was an acute shortage of vehicles.

VAZ-2101, nicknamed "kopeck", became the ancestor of the "Classic" family and was produced until 1988. During this time, 4.85 million units of the VAZ-2101 with a sedan body of all modifications were produced. For the production of this car, the Volzhsky Automobile Plant received the international award "Golden Mercury".

VAZ-2101 (1970-1988)

In March 1971, the first stage of the Volzhsky Automobile Plant was put into operation, designed to produce 220,000 units annually. Already on July 16 of the same year, the 100,000th car rolled off the assembly line.

In 1972, the second model of AVTOVAZ, VAZ-2102, was released. In fact, it was a copy of the "penny" converted into a rear-wheel drive station wagon. She was called "the best friend of a summer resident" because of her practicality and spaciousness.

VAZ-2102 (1972-1985)

In the same year, the production of a more powerful modification of the Zhiguli, the VAZ-2103 model, which was named LADA 1500 for export, was launched. It was already equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 77 hp. The maximum speed has increased to 152 km / h. The new model gained “one hundred” in 16 seconds, which put it on a par with Western competitors of the same class. In fact, the car was copied from the Italian Fiat 124 Speciale of 1968 with processing for use on the roads of the USSR.

The car also received a more comfortable, spacious and beautiful interior, a plastic-trimmed trunk and improved noise insulation. It was produced for 12 years, during which the plant produced 1 304 899 units of the model.

VAZ-2103 (1972-1984)

In 1976, the most popular model of the Togliatti automobile plant was released - the VAZ-2106, the prototype of which was the Italian Fiat 124 Speciale of 1972. The car replaced the VAZ-2103, and none of its creators expected such a wild success with the public.

The VAZ-2106 was equipped with a 1.6-liter 75 hp engine, which allowed it to accelerate to 152 km / h.

In appearance, the "six" received a new front lining, rear trunk panel, other bumpers, side direction indicators, wheel caps, ventilation grilles.

The interior has changed the upholstery and door armrests, in the front seats - height-adjustable headrests.

In addition, the car was equipped with a steering column washer switch for a windshield washer, an alarm, a low brake fluid indicator and a rheostat for lighting the instrument panel. More "advanced" versions received a radio, a red fog lamp and heated rear window.

VAZ-2106 (1975-2005)

In 1977, one of the most successful cars of AVTOVAZ appeared - "Niva", VAZ-2121. This four-wheel drive SUV with a 1.6-liter engine and a frame chassis was successfully exported: more than 50% of the produced cars went abroad.

It was equipped with a mechanical four-speed gearbox, a lockable center differential and a two-stage transfer case.

On the world market, "Niva" became a real sensation, prompting the leaders of the automotive industry to create something similar. The success was ensured by innovative technical solutions (independent front suspension, all-metal monocoque body) and low price.

In 1978, the Niva was recognized as the best car in its class at the international exhibition in Brno. In 1980, the model received the gold medal at the Poznan International Fair.

The Volzhsky Automobile Plant decides to release special versions of the VAZ-2121, the first of which are exported: a modification with a 1.3-liter engine and a right-hand drive version.

It is worth noting that in the homeland "Niva" was bought up not as intensively as abroad. It was quite expensive both in purchase and in operation. At the same time, domestic consumers did not always need such a large car.

VAZ-2121 (1977)

In 1979, the VAZ-2105 was released, which was produced by the car plant for the longest time - until 2010. Its development took place as part of the program for the modernization and preparation of the second generation of rear-wheel drive vehicles of the brand.

He became the successor of the "penny", as well as the basis for the creation of the "luxury" sedan VAZ-2107 in 1981 and the station wagon VAZ-2104 in 1984.

VAZ-2105 (1979-2010)

In 1982, the last model from the representatives of the "classics", the VAZ-2107, appears. It is, in fact, a "luxury" modification of the VAZ-2105, which was distinguished by a more powerful engine, different bumpers and headlights, a radiator grille, a new shape of the hood, more comfortable front seats, an updated dashboard and the presence of cold air deflectors.

In the early 1980s, it became clear that the future was in front-wheel drive vehicles. In addition, the car factory felt the need for a design change. As a result, in 1984 the production of the three-door hatchback "Samara", VAZ-2108, began.

The car and its five-door modification "Sputnik", VAZ-2109, were distinguished by excellent dynamics and controllability, unpretentiousness to the quality of the road surface and high maximum speed.

The VAZ-2108 was equipped with a four-cylinder four-stroke carburetor or injection engine with a volume of 1.1, 1.3 or 1.5 liters. This motor is specially designed for use in a front wheel drive vehicle.

VAZ-2108 (1984-2003)

VAZ-2109 was a "family" variation of the "eight", which was presented as a more solid car.

The front-wheel drive novelty, of course, became an event in the domestic automotive market, but it had a number of drawbacks. In particular, it was not as cheap and easy to repair as the "classic", received less comfortable pedals and quickly failing oil receiver and engine crankcase.

In 1990, the Togliatti automobile enterprise released a four-door version of the family with a sedan body - VAZ-21099. She became the last model to come out before the collapse of the USSR.

The first car produced in the post-Soviet period was the "ten" - VAZ-2110. It was developed back in 1989, but the crisis years did not allow production to begin in 1992, as previously planned.

VAZ-2110 began production only in 1995. It was equipped with one of two engine options: an 8-valve 1.5-liter with 79 hp. or 16-valve 1.6-liter, developing 92 hp. The car belonged to the highest class in the Samara family, which could compete with the Opel Astra, Audi 80 and Daewoo Nexia.

Over time, many modifications of the model came out, among which were station wagons, hatchbacks and coupes. Until the appearance of LADA Priora, the "ten" was considered the most expensive and prestigious domestic car.

VAZ-2110 (1995-2007)

The successor to the VAZ-21099, the four-door sedan VAZ-2115, appears in 2007. The novelty received a spoiler with an additional brake light on the trunk, bumpers painted in body color, flowed around the sills, new taillights, door moldings and a more comfortable interior.

At first, the model was equipped with 1.5- and 1.6-liter carburetor engines, since 2000 - a power unit with distributed fuel injection.

In 1998, the first Russian minivans appeared - the VAZ-2120. The model was based on an extended platform, borrowed from the "Niva", and equipped with an all-wheel drive chassis, which helped to overcome the most difficult road conditions.

The car was produced in small series until 2008, when production was stopped due to low demand and unsatisfactory quality.

VAZ-2120 (1998-2008)

In 1993, the development of a new car called "Lada-Kalina" began. The design process continued for quite a long time, in 1999 the first prototype in the hatchback body debuted, a year later - a sedan, and in 2001 - a station wagon.

The first generation of the model was produced from November 18, 2004. Since July 2007, LADA Kalina has received a new 1.4-liter 16-valve engine, and since September - an ABS system.

The model was constantly being modernized. So, in 2010, a version with a black "basalt" interior and a standard audio system appeared.

On May 1, 2011 AVTOVAZ announced the termination of production of the LADA Kalina sedan, which was replaced by the budget LADA Granta.

LADA Kalina (2004)

In 2008, Renault-Nissan Corporation bought out 25% of shares of JSC AVTOVAZ. The next year the company met with a lump of financial problems that caused production to be cut by almost half.

The car company needed state support, and it allocated 25 billion rubles as an interest-free loan, and also contributed the entire model range of AVTOVAZ to the state program for subsidizing car loan rates.

In September, the company underwent mass layoffs, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation announced that the car plant was in a pre-bankruptcy state, and therefore state support was inappropriate. It was proposed to cut about 50,000 staff.

In November, Renault put forward a proposal to organize the production of LADA, Renault and Nissan cars based on the B0 platform at the Volzhsky Automobile Plant. The help of the French contributed to the fact that the company received additional funding from the government. This helped to overcome the financial crisis and even make a profit in 2010.

On December 12, 2012, the creation of a joint venture between the Renault-Nissan alliance and the state corporation Russian Technologies was announced. By the end of 2013, the new joint venture owned 76.25% of the shares of OJSC AVTOVAZ.

On June 18, 2014 Renault-Nissan increased its share in the share capital of AVTOVAZ to 67.13%.

The Priora sedan model appeared in the current LADA portfolio in 2007. The following year, a hatchback car was released, and in 2009 - a station wagon. The car is equipped with an 8-valve 81 hp engine. or 16-valve with 98 hp.

It is the successor to the VAZ-2110, representing its restyled version. In appearance, the front and rear fenders, the trunk lid and hood, bumpers, lighting equipment with fog lights, alloy wheels, and a radiator grill have changed.

The interior was developed in collaboration with the Italian studio Carcerano. There is a new front panel, a silver console trim, a new armrest with two niches, better upholstery, a driver's airbag, and improved sound insulation.

LADA Priora (2007)

On May 16, 2011, the serial production of LADA Granta started. This car was developed based on the Kalina model. In March 2013, a modification appeared with a liftback body, which, among other things, differed in the shape of the rear side doors, a front bumper and the location of the rear license plate.

The model is equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with distribution injection and three power options - 87, 98 and 106 hp.

As soon as the car went on sale, it caused a huge demand from buyers. The queues for the new product stretched until March 2012.

LADA Granta became the first car of the Togliatti automobile plant, which was serially equipped with an automatic transmission - a four-band transmission of the Japanese company Jatco.

LADA Granta (2011)

In 2012, LADA Largus appeared, developed jointly with Renault on the Logan platform. The car is produced in station wagon, high-capacity station wagon and cargo van versions. In this case, the passenger version can be five- or seven-seater.

LADA Largus (2012)

Now the LADA model range includes five families of cars: the Largus station wagon, the Granta sedan and liftback, the Priora sedan, the Priora hatchback and station wagon, the Kalina hatchback and station wagon, as well as the three- and five-door 4x4 model. Separately, it is worth noting the cross-versions of the popular station wagons Largus and Kalina, which replenished the model line at the turn of 2014-2015, as well as the 4x4 Urban adapted for the city. All manufactured cars comply with international environmental standards Euro-4, and those that are exported to Europe - Euro-5.

LADA Kalina Cross, Largus Cross, 4x4 Urban

In 2014, the automaker held 17% of the Russian passenger car market. Production, in addition to the Togliatti automobile plant, is organized in the Russian cities of Syzran, Izhevsk, Serpukhov and Naberezhnye Chelny, in the Ukrainian cities - Lutsk, Kherson, Zaporozhye, Kremenchug, as well as in Ecuador, Egypt, Uruguay.

While the press "thundered" about the resignation of Boo Andersson, trying to analyze whether he did more good or bad, our technicians disappeared into service. For a detailed analysis, the main creation of AvtoVAZ in recent years was acquired - the flagship and star of the Lada Vesta company. It was very interesting to see what is hidden inside our main threat to foreign cars. So, let's take it apart.

For "experiments" a car was bought, from our point of view, in the most optimal version of Comfort, with a 1.6-liter VAZ engine (with other Vestas not yet sold) and a 5-speed manual transmission. We made the choice in favor of the latter after, which, alas, still falls short of the comfort of a classic “automatic machine”, although it outperforms it in terms of price.

By the way, about the price. The cost of the purchased car (with the minimum set of all the options required today) was 550,000 rubles, including the discount. This is about 55,000-90,000 rubles cheaper than all comparable foreign competitors with an approximately similar list of equipment.

Engine: VAZ brand, made in Russia

A 1.6-liter 16-valve naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine is installed under the hood of Lada Vesta. Power - 106 hp with. at 5800 rpm, torque - 148 Nm at 4200 rpm. Compliance with Euro-5 standards. The engine received the designation 21129, although the designation 21126 is clearly visible on the block itself. There is no need to be surprised, since all modifications of the engine (126/127/129), leading history from Priora, have a single block.

Features: original system of suspension and attachments of attachments; modified intake and exhaust system; adaptation for the installation of a Renault gearbox, as well as about 20 other innovations, including a lightweight connecting rod-piston group made by Federal Mogul from Togliatti.

That the engine has very good response and elasticity, but a little noisy at high revs.

In the engine compartment of the Vesta, the motor becomes end-to-end. Access to all attachments is extremely limited. The entire engine is literally shrouded in wires - during the disassembly process, about 40 connectors had to be disconnected and it was not easy to pick out a whole bag of clips.

The oil filter (Avtoagregat, Russia) is sandwiched between the subframe and the exhaust manifold, and it is not protected from the latter by any heat shield, which causes some concern. The drive belt and its tension roller practically abut against the inside of the body, in fact, like the timing mechanism, so that their replacement is possible only with a complete disassembly of the front right side of the car with dismantling of the right additional spar and hanging the motor.

The officials confirmed to us other information, which we suspected, but did not check it ourselves. Due to the peculiarities of the fastening, the removal of the sump (crankcase) of the engine is possible only with the removal of the gearbox.

Gearbox: Renault brand, made in Russia

The Lada Vesta is equipped with a French 5-speed "mechanics" JH3-510. The transmission case is cast in VAZ's own metallurgy. Actually, the entire assembly is carried out in Togliatti.

The choice in favor of a foreign box was made due to the fact that in their native VAZ engineers were never able to defeat extraneous noises, in particular the hum of gears. It is known that a French gearbox costs AvtoVAZ 20% more than a domestic one.

Recall that on the basis of the domestic gearbox, the AMT "robot" was created, in which the problem of noise is still relevant (in particular, the muffled howl in second gear). We have no complaints about the performance characteristics of the mechanical transmission.

Radiators (cooling, heating, air conditioning systems): Valeo brand, made in Russia

All three Vesta radiators of the French brand Valeo (a well-known manufacturer of components) are of good workmanship, in no way inferior to world analogues. During dismantling, it was difficult to suspect that the radiators were being assembled in Togliatti at Valeo's own production site.

By the way, the competence of the employees of the hotline of the Russian representative office of Valeo (where we were transferred to answer questions) was in doubt. What is going on the Valeo site in Nizhny Novgorod, we could not name exactly, and when asked about production in Togliatti, we were told that we were not sure that it worked at all, although the press service of AvtoVAZ firmly confirmed the opposite.

Generator: Valeo brand, made in Turkey

The generator of the same French brand Valeo, but already of Turkish production, at first confused us - instead of the usual orange transformer varnish, the winding is covered with a non-uniform color protection. However, as they say, "the speed should not be affected". But the fact that the conclusions from the winding were not soldered, but simply crimped, we consider a disadvantage. Short-lived.

In addition, component dismantling (replacement) is extremely difficult due to its location. The generator is clamped by the air conditioner compressor from below and its tubes - from the end and top, and from the belt drive side, as well as the tension roller, - by the wall of the engine compartment. As a result, when replacing the generator, you will have to remove the air conditioning compressor (if available, of course).

Three more components found by Valeo: a starter (Poland), a release bearing and a microclimate control unit (Czech Republic). The French company is one of the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of components for car factories, including, of course, fellow countrymen from Renault, from whom it migrated to AvtoVAZ.

Fuse box and its housing: Renault brand, made in Romania

The fuse box was entirely inherited from the Logan model, as evidenced by both the Renault logos on the body and the Romanian manufacturer Capirom. True, AvtoVAZ reported that in the near future the company will change the supplier to a local one - from the Samara region.

We did not have any questions about the unit itself, but in the process of scrupulous study by the electricians, a very curious moment emerged. Attention was drawn to two fuses, which were not indicated either on the diagram or in the instructions. The study of the electrical circuit revealed that with a sharp voltage surge (for example, when the Vesta is "lit" with the engine running), these fuses may burn out, as a result of which the battery charging will stop. And what is most insidious, the driver of a discharged car will not find out about it - no electrical "paths" to the dashboard (warning lamps) could be found. Whether the reason will be revealed when connecting a standard diagnostic system in the absence of a pop-up error is also a question.

The controls also turned out to be imported - the steering rack of the famous German brand ZF, but made in Malaysia. And the CV joints are provided by the British company GKN and are made in Poland.

Clutch assembly: LuK brand, made in Russia

Disc and clutch basket on Vesta from the well-known German brand LuK, which is part of the global structure of the Schaeffler concern. The company has a production facility in Russia in the city of Ulyanovsk, from where its products are supplied to domestic enterprises, including not only AvtoVAZ, but also UAZ. We have no complaints about this component.

Brakes: TRW brand, production Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, France, Turkey

In order for Lada Vesta to stop properly, manufacturers from almost half of Europe had to work hard. In total, we counted five countries of the braking system, including French SNR bearings, pressed into the rear brake drums (combined with the hub) of the German ATE brand, but made in Italy. When the bearing needs to be replaced, it will be extremely difficult to remove it separately - most likely, you will have to change the entire assembly. Although the name of the premium auto parts brand SNR by the standards of the world inspires hope for durability.

So, the brake master cylinder and vacuum booster came from Poland, the front calipers and pads came from the Czech Republic. Some of the brake hoses were made in Turkey by Teklas. Of the features - one brake reservoir for two with a clutch drive.

The only question about the brakes arose when considering the front pads, on which there was a working cylinder track - a quarter of the pressure surface extends beyond the pads. It is difficult to say whether this somehow affects the efficiency of braking. When driving, we did not have any complaints about the braking system.

You will also have to tinker with suspension elements during repairs. According to "foreign" patterns, the ball (produced by the Magnitogorsk plant BelMag) is assembled with a lever. Moreover, replacing a component will require a lot of additional steps to free up space around. By the way, according to the servicemen, the play of the ball joints and the knock of the stabilizer struts is the most frequent appeal of the first owners of Vesta.

Shock absorbers are one of the few Vesta components on which we did not see the "English language". The racks were produced at the Skopinsky Automotive Aggregate Plant in the Ryazan Region. By the way, in terms of the balance of suspension characteristics, we recognize the Vesta as one of the best in the class.

The only inscription Made in China we saw on the motor of the Bosch wiper drive, and with the logos of another automaker - the Chinese company Chery

Various plastic parts

There is already such a disparity between firms and producer countries that it makes no sense to single out someone separately, so let's just list them.

The air filter and its housing turned out to be the well-known German brand Mann + Hummel, and the original production. The electric fuel pump module assembled (with a pump from Arsan) is Russian. The hose for the expansion tank of the Teklas radiator, but already made not in Turkey, but in Bulgaria. Washer reservoir with Renault logos, Continental washer pump, made in the Czech Republic.

With the exception of the aforementioned Czech microclimate control unit, the plastic interior parts turned out to be Russian, in particular Izhevsk. Moreover, the quality of fastening (hence the country of production) of individual small parts could be determined by touch - they either backlash or fell out at the slightest touch.

Not without the Russian approach: the not "shrunken" exactly plastic frame of the gear lever (by the Italian-Russian company AE2) was sharpened from the inside (apparently with a file) along the edge. The side cover of the front panel (from the side of the front right door) bounced like a spring at the first attempt to snap it off (under what voltage was it installed?).

Considering some more flaws in the assembly of the cabin in the form of undisguised self-tapping screws and gaps, it should be said that the Lada Vesta cabin is assembled as a whole better than you might expect from most modern Zhiguli, but one feels that over time, part of it will traditionally “come to life”. By the way, at first glance, we liked the interior assembly of almost completely imported Lada XRAY.

Some time ago the agency "Autostat" published the full list of component suppliers - there are a dozen more foreign brands that we did not mention. Some of them, by the way, did not coincide with the real ones - in particular, the tires on our Vesta were made by Pirelli, not Continental.

How the body is made

We must admit: a nice, in our opinion, Lada Vesta car is assembled very well in bodywork. The measured gaps are everywhere at a level from the strength of a couple of millimeters. Well, the softness and silence with which the doors are closed are worthy of applause. And everything would be absolutely wonderful if we did not start studying the car from below.

In general, of course, there is no "crime". The first thing that caught my eye was the inaccuracy of anti-corrosion treatment from the category "we smear here, but here it will do." It can be seen that some areas were processed over the protective film, which was then torn off along with the protection. Moreover, in the same place it was done with completely different quality (neat and tyap-blooper).

An incident was revealed under the hood - at the factory, a piece of paper was attached to one of the spars on an adhesive tape, apparently with an example of a color called "platinum", in which it was necessary to paint the car from the inside. Actually, they painted it with this piece of paper, forgetting to tear it off - under it, of course, there was a strip without stain.

The rear beam mounts, apparently, are not native. One of the "ears" for the bolts is left to protrude into the wheel arch.

Another point is the accuracy of internal folds and connections of individual body parts. Between some of them there are considerable technological holes, into which, of course, dirt, salt and road chemicals will be clogged. Considering that some of these compounds did not get anticorrosive, they are most likely to become hotbeds of corrosion, especially in the wheel arches.

For the purity of the experiment, we looked under the bottom of the first competitor of Vesta that came across - the Skoda Rapid liftback (in the base from 539,000 rubles). He has an armor-piercing shield from below, wrapped in processing without a single crack or speck, and even with two plastic sheets of protection on top.

What's the bottom line

The conclusions are mixed. The main one is that in terms of quality and assembly level, Lada Vesta is probably the best car among the products of our car industry, at least in modern history. However, a large number of annoying and small "shoals" does not yet allow our sedan to catch up with Western competitors, and at a comparable price.

The second conclusion is that to call Vesta domestic, having decomposed it into parts, our language is difficult to turn. Especially if you remember that even those branded components that are produced in Russia are made on imported machines, using imported raw materials.

Well, and the third conclusion: you can forget about any Vesta service outside of professional service. At the dacha, you can change only the brake pads and pump up the wheels. Apparently, this is also why sales of the car in the regions turned out to be worse than expected. In general, we will now follow our ward and be sure to inform you about all the joys and hardships.
