During the operation of the car in the engine, various malfunctions may occur, in particular, it begins to smoke, spend the oil above the required norm.

Often the reason for the appearance of defects is increased nagaro-formation in the motor, the location of the piston rings in the grooves of the pistons.

If the car has not been operated for a long time (for example, in winter), rust can be accumulated in the motor cylinders, which also leads to smoke and increased oil consumption. The cutting of the piston rings is made to cleanse the part of the piston group from nagar and rust, and in some situations it is the only way to avoid expensive repairs.

For rounding the piston rings (RPK), hot disputes are already underway:

  • some motorists claim that rounding does not give any effect - it is simply a marketing course of advertising campaigns;
  • others declare that cleaning the piston group from Nagar and Slaka allows you to restore the engine performance in any case.

It should be noted that even the most expensive auto chemistry can save the engine from repair, if it is worn out the parts of the cylinder-piston group (CPG) - unfortunately, there are no magical tools, and only the replacement of piston rings (PC) is helped by a superheated motor.

But not everything is so bad, in some situations, the means for the rounds are very helpful, and if it were not for them, it would have to carry out an expensive repair of the engine. Tangible PKK benefits brings in cases when:

  • after a long longer downtime of the car in the engine cylinders, rust formed, and the piston rings lay down in their grooves;
  • after refueling by poor-quality gasoline on the details of the CPG and in the combustion chamber, an additional tag was formed, and at the expense of it the engine lost its power.

Fluid for cutting piston rings

Last time, many different auto chemicals appeared for the DISTRIVE OF PC, designed specifically for cleaning cylinders from slag. Previously, no special funds were not, but this does not mean that the cutting was not used, simply used those tools that were available.

There are a lot of "grandfathers" ways, and in the cylinders pour:

  • a mixture of kerosene with acetone;
  • WD-40;
  • other different solvents;
  • brake fluid.

In some cases, the engine oil is added to all fluids in small quantities. Use solvents should be carefully - if they in some way fall into the oil crankcase, rubber glands can freeze.

One of the people's ways is tooling with a mixture of acetone and kerosene. You can mix the composition in different ways, and there is no accurate recipe here:


Moving the piston rings such a mixture should be done on cold, and better on the heat engine. If the motor is hot, the acetone cannot be poured into it - the solvent will immediately boil. Operations in the following way:

  • the wasting engine, remove the high-voltage wires and turn the spark plugs;
  • we turn the crankshaft so that the pistons of all cylinders stood approximately in the middle, check their position with a long thin screwdriver, inserting it into the candle holes;
  • we recruit the mixture with a syringe and inject into all cylinders, in each candle hole approximately 50-75 ml;
  • watch the spark plugs in place, withstand some time. It is better to do the wrath of rings in the evening, leave the car for the night, 10-12 hours;
  • then you need to unscrew the candles again, and several times (5-6) scroll the engine starter. To avoid various troubles (possible ignition), you need to turn off the power from the ignition module (coil) so as not to slip the spark from high-voltage wires;
  • cylinders are better to immediately cover with a dense cloth, if slag will fly out of the OBS, it will fall on matter;
  • then we wrap the candles, install the wires and run the motor. At first, the engine can greatly smoke, but the smoke must destroy fast enough. If the work is performed in the garage, it is necessary to open the gate before launching the motor.

It will not be superfluous after the work done to replace the engine oil in the engine oil, since part of acetone can penetrate the crankcase. For rounding the piston rings, various liquids are produced by industry - such funds are more efficient, and they are less damaged by the motor, since they do not eat rubber seals.

One of the very first components for cleaning the engine from Nagar, which appeared on the Russian market - Antikox of the company XADO. The Ukrainian company itself ("Kharkov House") has existed since 1991, the first products of the company appeared in 1999. Means for cutting the rings on the LAVR ML-202 pistons has acquired the greatest popularity in Russia, this composition from the entire auto chemistry presented in the domestic market is most often used by car owners to restore the engine performance. The Lavr brand has existed since 1997, the company's headquarters settled in Chelyabinsk.

The drug "Lavr ML-202" is produced in three packaging options:

  • 185 ml of anti coks liquid;
  • 185 ml antikox plus engine flushing;
  • 330 ml of liquid.

In addition to the liquid itself, there is still a syringe with a tube, as well as instructions for using this tool. The capacity of 185 ml is enough for the cutting of one engine with a volume of up to 2 liters, for more volumetric II, it is necessary to use a package of 330 ml. Also large packaging is used for V-shaped power units and for a piston group with large deepening in the bottoms of the pistons.

  1. In order for the RPK to be required as close as possible, it is necessary to pour into the engine only high-quality engine oil, refuel the car with a good fuel on certified gas stations.
  2. It is also less likely to deal with the cleaning of cylinders from Nagara, if before conservation of the machine (when the car is assumed to not exploit for a long time) pour into all cylinders a small amount of engine oil during the storage time of the vehicle.
  3. If the quality of the fuel used is the doubt, it is recommended to approximately once every 20-25 thousand km of run as prevention to make a cutoff, but it is necessary to use proven funds from well-known manufacturers.
  4. The longer the crying of cylinders from slag and nagar lasts, the more efficient parts of the cylinder-piston group are cleared.
  5. If the engine has already worked out its resource, it is pointless to engage in the cutting of piston rings. Overhaul is required by the automotive engine. It is also inappropriate to produce a cutoff, if the motor was strongly overheated.

After purification of the piston group from Nagara, the compression is usually increased, the power of the engine increases. But it happens only when the power unit is in a relatively good condition. If, after the cutoff procedure, the opposite, the power disappeared, and the motor began to smoke and spend the oil, should be prepared for the wake overhaul.
