Bottom Carter is closed with a steel stamped lid with a gasket (fastening - on studs). The clutch crankcase is mounted bolted to the engine cylinder block.

In the gearbox Chevrolet Niva there are three shafts: primary, secondary and intermediate. The primary shaft is based on two ball bearing, located in the rear end of the crankshaft and in the front wall of the gearbox crankcase (the latter perceives the bulk of the load).

In the rear end of the primary shaft, a needle bearing is installed, which is the front support of the secondary shaft and ensuring the alignment of the shafts.

The secondary shaft is also relied on the ball bearing in the rear wall of the gearbox crankcase and the roller bearing in its back cover.

The intermediate shaft of PPC Chevrolet Niva rotates in two bearings: the front - the two-row balloon is located in the front wall of the gearbox crankcase, the rear - roller is located in its back wall.

Primary shaft has two gear crowns. The osostic crown located closer to the front wall of the crankcase is in constant engagement with the front gear of the intermediate shaft (thus, these shafts always rotate together).

The sprinkled crown of the primary shaft of KPP Shevi Niva is the crown of the IV transmission synchronizer (when it turns on, the torque is transmitted directly from the primary shaft to the secondary, bypassing the intermediate, so this transmission is often called "direct"). The intermediate shaft is a block of four-axis gears.

When you turn on any transmission, except IV, the torque is transmitted to the secondary shaft through the intermediate. The gears of the intermediate shaft are in the following order (from its front end): a constant engagement gear with a primary shaft, gears III, II and I gear.

A block of two gears is attached to the rear end of the shaft: reverse (spanning) and V transmission (osostor). It additionally relies on the roller bearing in the back cover of the Chevrolet Niva gearbox.

On the secondary shaft there are driven gears III, II, I gear, reversing and V transmission (in order, counting from the front end of the shaft) and synchronizers.

The driven gears of front run gears are in constant engagement with the corresponding gears of the intermediate shaft. The gears V, III and II gear rotate on the hardened necks of the secondary shaft, gear I gear - on the sleeve.

For fixing on the secondary shaft, the drive gear gear and the hub of the synchronizer V transmission of the PPC Chevrolet Niva are used eusolvent slots. A locking ring is installed on the secondary shaft, located between the hub of the synchronizer and the drive gear V transmission.

At the same time, the gearboxes of their synchronizers were made with the dososubami gears of the front turns - spanned gears of smaller diameter. They are directed towards the corresponding synchronizer (III, I, V - Forward, II - back).

At the back end of the secondary shaft, the flange of the elastic coupling is fixed. The synchronizer consists of a hub that is rigidly fixed on the secondary shaft, a sliding clutch, a locking ring, blocking ring and springs with a washer.

On the outer surface of the hubs there are slots for which the sliding coupling moves. On the couplings there are launches, in which the forks of shifting rods are included.

Blocking rings with their inner crowns are connected to the crosses of synchronizers of the PPC Chevrolet Niva corresponding gears and are fitted with springs towards the sliding couplings. The springs are based on the side surface of the slave gears through the washers.

Reverse transmission does not have a synchronizer. To enable it, you need to enter an intermediate gear of the reverse gearing with the driven gear of the secondary shaft and the drive gear gear.

The axis of the intermediate gear reverse is attached to the rear wall of the box of the box.

Removing the front bearing of the primary shaft of the gearbox of Shevi Niva

Remove the engine flywheel.

Remove the gearbox.

We turn over one nut at the bottom of the clutch crankcase and six more nuts fastening the clutch crankcase to the gearbox.

Separate the clutch crankcase from Chevrolet Niva gearbox.

Following the mounting blade or screwdriver the gland, remove it from the jack of the guide sleeve.

Applying a thin layer of lubrication to the working surface of the new gland, we will press it with a suitable cutting pipe (outer diameter of 44 mm and internal at least 35 mm).

The assembly is carried out in reverse sequence.

The sealing gasket between the crankcases is replaced by a new and apply a thin layer of silicone sealant on it.

Replacement of the oscillet of the secondary shaft gearbox Chevrolet Niva

We remove the intermediate shaft and the rubber sealing ring from the ringer of the fastening nut of the secondary shaft flange.

We insert into the holes of the flange of the checkpoint of Shevi Niva, two bolts of fastening the elastic coupling.

The gear shift drive consists of three rods connected to forks. The turning on the front of the front turn transmission is included in the sliding clutch of synchronizers, and the plug is turned on the reverse - into the protrusion on the intermediate gear.

The removal of locking rings squeeze the retaining ring and remove it.

Remove the slide of the ball shift lever. Remove the lower sealing ring with the lever support.

Updoving a screwdriver, remove the top sealing ring. We remove the support from the shift lever of the gearbox of Shevi Niva.

We turn over two bolts fastening the reverse transmission lining to the upper body of the gear shift lever and remove the lining.

Cross-shaped screwdriver turn off the screw fastening of the locking stop to the fork of the tip of the thrust and remove the blocking focus.

Assembly of the drive control mechanism for the gear selection mechanism in reverse sequence. On the slider and the body of the ball support lever we apply a thin layer of plastic lubrication.
