Winter tires R13 Select Rating. Type Test Group Sv answers questions. DUNLOP ICE TOUCH - closure leadership winter tires

the main / Advice

In the cold season, it is better to give preference to just winter tires. With the help of new technologies in the production of automotive tires, interesting features are achieved, allowing the owners of the car to ride no less confident than in the summer. Many believe that winter tires can be replaced by all-season options. But this is not the case - demi-season tires are not a way out of the situation: they are uncomfortable to ride neither in summer or winter.

The main feature of winter rubber is softness and the ability to tenaciously hold onto the snow coverage. We offer you the rating of the best winter studded tires 2014-2015.

Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 - the best offer among winter tires

The leader of most tests in Russia and other countries has become Finnish tires produced at one of the most technological world factories in the world. This Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 is an excellent driver assistant in difficult winter conditions.

Tires are capable of fighting perfectly with any cold coating, ensure the comfort and safety of the trip. The following unique properties of Nokian winter rubber properties should also be noted:

  • special technologies and tread pattern protect the driver with any weather;
  • grip with any surface, even with ice, reaches maximum values;
  • rubber is present in a large assortment of radii and sizes;
  • this model also has spikes that are applied by the new scheme.

Rubber was presented last year, but until today it remains the leader of most ratings. If you want real comfort and complete security in winter, be sure to pay attention to this suggestion of the Finnish corporation.

Goodyear UltraGrip Ice Arctic - Experienced model from the legendary manufacturer

This offer was one of the few representatives of the 2014-2015 season, which managed to get to the top position after three years of success. GoodYear has always been famous for the release of premium tires that ensure the safety of winter and summer movement on any transport. With the help of new technologies, the corporation managed to create tires with the following advantages:

  • beautiful grip behind snow and cold asphalt with an unusual tread and spikes;
  • nineteen sizes - a choice from 13 to 18 inches on any width of the disk;
  • super-dimensional parts of the rather rigid tread ensure adhesion with any surface;
  • slide is minimized, due to the special form of the tread.

Also in Goodyear Ultragrip Ice Arctic has been represented by the technology of spike integration developed in 2012. The features of this tire differ from most competitors and allow you to achieve incredible travel parameters. At the moment, Rubber is experiencing one of the last seasons, after which the manufacturer announced several important updates and change the name.

Michelin X-Ice North Xin3 - Leader Model last year

This rubber was also in the list of the most successful purchases for motorists last season. If this year it's time to get a new winter tires, pay attention to this instance. Michelin always offers the best technologies, but X-Ice North has really exceeded all customer expectations:

  • the softness of the car increases at times;
  • significantly improves adhesion with any soil;
  • the durability of wheelbarves increases;
  • the brake path decreases almost twice.

Reducing the brake path is twice - an approximate assessment confirmed by many unofficial test drives. But even in such angle, this Rubber deserves places in the ranking of the best winter tires 2014-2015.

BRIDGESTONE BLIZZAK SPIKE 01 - Another successful series of the concern

Blizzak Series from Bridgestone Corporation is already known to many car owners. A sufficiently high cost does not stop potential buyers from acquiring this excellent version of winter rubber. In the new generation, which will appear on the market already at the end of the summer of 2014, the manufacturer introduced the following innovations:

  • the chemical composition of raw materials for the manufacture of rubber was completely changed;
  • the protector is made of a soft material that withstands without physical changes to -50 degrees;
  • the spikes are present, but they are not the main part of the tire;
  • there is no need to run rubber before its full operation.

Thanks to such characteristics, Bridgestone Blizzak Spike 01 is one of the most technological proposals in the ranking of the best winter tires 2014-2015. Nevertheless, for the purchase will have to lay out a lot of money, so it is too early to talk about the popularity of rubber.

DUNLOP ICE TOUCH - closure leadership winter tires

According to experts, Dunlop production tires have every chance of becoming leaders this year. Their cost is perfectly combined with quality characteristics, which makes the purchase of rubber much more profitable for the driver. The main features and technical advantages of Dunlop Ice Touch are manifested in the following characteristics:

  • incredibly different from competitors drawing a tread;
  • the presence of spikes in disordered mode;
  • high adhesion properties with an icy road surface;
  • universal use for middle class auto and compact crossovers.

Excellent Rubber Dunlop Ice Touch offers high quality characteristics and fairly interesting features for owners of almost all cars. You can choose the appropriate size from a huge range and get good protection of your car from surprises of the icy road.

Let's sum up

Among the winter tires described above, there are proposals of previous years, but many experts believe that this tires are worthy to be in the list of the best winter tires 2014-2015. Choosing tires for the winter, pay special attention to the specifications suitable for you.

Some of the proposals of the modern market are an excellent option for lovers of the trip along the uncharted tracks, others offer the optimal regimes of urban movement. Also remember that the rubber differs in the speed index and the load, which is very important to take into account when buying new winter tires.

Are there any motorists among our readers who have already bought Rubber for the 2014-2015 season?

The ADAC Club suggested the audience the results of frictional friction (untouched) tires for the winter of European-type, poorly suitable for Russian conditions. However, for the completeness of the picture to see their results will be odd.

A selection of Finns from Tuulilasi turned out to be much more relevant. They collected eight sets of studded winter tires of Scandinavian type. That is, the tires created primarily for snow and ice, but at the same time relevant and on the cold asphalt. Tests on snow and ice were held in Ivalo (Finland) in the first week of March. The temperature ranged in the zero area of \u200b\u200bdegrees. Winter rubber carriers were the Volvo S60 sedan and Volvo V70 wagon. Most of the measurements were carried out using the V-Box instrument. ABS and ESC auxiliary systems were included - in the latter case, a Sport mode that admits a small slip-insulation was used. Riding on dry and wet asphalt were carried out in Finnish Tampere.

Tuulilasi experts accelerated and braked on ice, evaluated handling on slippery coating, checked the same parameters on the snow, that is, tires were tested in the original winter conditions. At the same time, they did not forget about dry, and about wet asphalt, as well as about Slaryplanging resistance (the parameter showing, at what speed there is a vestment of a car on a snow-water caress. An analogue of aquaplaning in summer). Finnish experts appreciated both rolling resistance, which means fuel consumption.

Adac Club Test Test (Nude Winter Tires of the Central European Type. Calculated solely on Soft Winters) -

Continental ContiwinterContact TS850

German tires Continental ContiWinterContact TS850 became the leader of the German test. After the passage of all disciplines, the experts came to the conclusion that the main advantage of this model is an derived balance. Continental ContiwinterContact TS850 is equally confident in all cases, of course, with amendment to the class. The "Velcro" of the Scandinavian type of ContivikingContact 5 feels significantly better, not to mention the studted model of Continental ContiCecontact. But for the winter tires of the Central European type, the ContiwinterContact TS850 indicators on the wet asphalt and ice - out of competition.

Bridgestone BLIZZAK LM001.

Japanese marks winter tires usually do not shine talents against rivals. But this is only in the case when the models for harsh cold are compared among themselves. But Japanese tires for soft winters in a circle of competitors feel much better. This confirmed the Test of the Adac Club. Bridgestone Blizzak LM001 passed all types of testing of the German Institute, putting in each of them to a favorable green zone.

Under the mild winter conditions in the ADAC Dunlop test Winter Response 2 showed themselves worthy. Especially well the car in these tires feels in the snow and wet asphalt. Also, experts positively estimated the low rolling resistance, which affects fuel consumption, albeit not very much.

Other Central European Winter Tires of the Dunlop - Model SP Winter Sport 4D - performed exactly no worse than Winter Response 2. In ADAC, they were praised primarily for balancedness, as well as the first place, Continental ContiWinterContact TS850, which is very significant.

In the Tire Industry Michelin is a name. From the French company, we definitely do not expect weaknesses. At the same time, the Michelin tires rarely fall on the top of the pedestal of tire tests of different editions, from year to year turning out somewhere in the middle of the list. The Test of the Adac Club of this year was no exception. Experts of the German autoclub praised them for behavior on ice and snow, as well as work on wet asphalt. But the results on dry coverage are worse, and this aspect of the Germans recorded in the minuses of the French tire as an increased noise.

Another model of the French tire giant - Michelin Alpin A4 performed in the tests of ADAC confidently of his relative. German experts celebrated a good balance and pointed attention on a huge resource. Putting this bus rather than wear the tread pattern. At the same time, it equally safely behaves on a dry or wet asphalt and ice.

The central European Velcroe of the Korean company Hankook performed at ADAC measurements satisfactorily. If the summer tires of the Korean company have already approached the level of world leaders, which is especially visible according to the Ventus Prime 2 model, then in the case of winter rubber, the level of Korean tires is still medium. Adac Hankook Winter I * Cept RS W442 expected on dry asphalt, but disappointed in the snow and wet asphalt.

Pirelli Snowcontrol Serie 3

Within the framework of the Pirelli Snowcontrol Serie 3 segment, they were surprisingly strong on ice and snow. They did not pump and on the wet asphalt, but did not please the dry. In addition, despite the lack of spikes, Pirelli Snowcontrol Serie 3 showed itself a noisy model. All in the aggregate pulled only on a satisfactory assessment of the Adac Club.

The surname line of the Vredestein tires is a tread pattern. The company stubbornly use the pattern in the form of "Christmas trees". Partially it affects the properties of the tires. In the test ADAC, they showed themselves well on ice and snow, but turned out to be loud and relatively weak on wet asphalt.

Tuulilasi magazine Test (Studdered Winter Scandinavian Type Tires. Good are well suited for Winter of Russia) - (http://www.tuulilasi.fi)

If the German tire defeated the German test, then in Finnish - Finnish. The novelty last year is Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 with a giant number of spikes (in the dimension 205/55r16 they are 190). On Ice is truly the royal tire. In the snow, too, everything is extremely convincing and only on the asphalt there are minor errors, which is quite normal for such a generous mischief. However, despite this, Tuulilasi journalists noticed that the eighth "hackcaphelitta" rulits well in the rain and slowly slows down on dry asphalt. At the same time, it does not critically resist rolling and not very loudly noise.

Unlike Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 German CONTINENTAL CONICECONTACT tires are produced long ago. There are even rumors in the sidelines that this bus is about to change the successor, but as long as it still remains in the ranks and shows excellent abilities in winter conditions. These tires are perfectly managed and brake on the ice, they demonstrate the same successes and on the road with bite snow. Indicators on dry and wet asphalt are not outstanding, but worthy. The resistance of Slaryplanting (ascembly on the snow-water caress) is not the best, but at the same time it is at a safe level.

The bronze in Tuulilasi dough wasted by the studded Pirelli Ice Zero. On the ice they feel not much worse than the leaders. Although the disarms of the rear axle in slip here are more clearly pronounced, which causes the driver to constantly be concentrated and tense. In addition, after Ice races, some spikes dispersed and began to protrude forefall. In real life, this means that after a pair of seasons, spikes will be definitely less than what you can not say, for example, about Continental ContiCecontact, where "claws" are planted for special glue. In the snow no misses. But the Slavplanting resistance here is unimportant. On Slushty Pirelli Ice Zero flooded early. Not everything is smooth and on asphalt, and both wet and dry. On the wet asphalt, the tire slows down well, but the turns lose the chain. In the asphalt dry unimportant it comes out and braking. Round resistance is small, but noise level is high. The third place was provided by the priority of ice, on which the studded "Pirelli" everything is fine.

Goodyear UltraGrip Ice Arctic on the points gave way to Pirelli, but by the totality of the indicators, they are definitely not worse. Although priorities are somewhat shifted here. Goodyear UltraGrip Ice Arctic is brilliantly kept asphalt. On wet asphalt and slush, they are favorites, which will be to the place in Moscow, abundantly flooded with reagents. There is also no damaging on the dry road, although the reactions are somewhat smeared. At the same time, everything is also not bad on the ice and snow, although the level of leaders slightly does not reach. Brake and overclocking on ice in the zone of a good result. In the snow, the behavior is a little worse. Analyzing the above, it can be noted that Goodyear UltraGrip Ice Arctic is perfectly suitable for wintering in large cities, where under the wheels are mostly asphalt, but at the same time the snow or ice is not excluded.

The next winter season started, and with it came and the most suitable time to select high-quality rubber for his car. Numerous manufacturers filled the market with a wide range of studded and friction tires, markedly complicating the task of choice of a private motorist. So that you are not mistaken with the choice among such a wide variety, Finnish specialists tested the impressive volume of winter rubber, well, we summarize their work by offering a final rating.

But let's start with the review of several of the most popular new products that have already been successfully implemented in the Russian market this season (winter 2014-2015).

Open this list of studded "Tires", developed on the basis of the Hakkapeliitta 5 model using computer simulation of the tread pattern. The protector itself received a 4-layer structure (Quattrotread technology) with a separate composition of the rubber mixture for each layer, additional grooves in the shoulder zone to improve the transverse clutch with an expense in turns, as well as interconnected checkers in the central zone that ensure reliable coursework stability. Nokian Nordman 5 tires have got round spikes with a wide base planted using the "bear claw" technology, holding the spikes in a vertical position, even during elevated loads, which guarantees a reliable grip with snow-covered and with icing roadbed.

Another studded novelty of the Russian winter rubber market - Tires. The developers seriously worked, offering fully recycled "riding", radically different from last year's model. First, the rubber received an enhanced side frame, made using IronFlex technology using special threads, scattering the load throughout the area. Secondly, the new composition of rubber allowed to improve the elasticity of the tires, even at very low temperatures, providing the lowest level of noise among all the innovations of the current season. Thirdly, the improved protector contains 15% more sectors than the previous model, and the drainage groove system received a new structure, more effectively cope with its task. And, fourth, new spikes with a wide conical base are based on a layer of thermoactive rubber, which is hardening at low temperatures, ensuring the spike reliable base that prevents the melting and reliably retaining spikes in a vertical position.

Closes the list of new "riding" rubber, designed for the Italian brand by a group of Scandinavian specialists. The new rubber line Pirelli Formula Ice was originally created for cold climates, therefore special components are included in its rubber mixture, allowing to preserve softness and elasticity even into severe frosts. The Pirelli Formula Ice projector has a high density of lamellae, the presence of wide drainage grooves, as well as the presence of a solid reinforced central edge that ensures the preservation of coursework on any road surface. Pirelli Formula Ice Rubber Spikes received a hexagonal core with pointed edges and a wide base fixed with a layer of dense rubber. Such spikes are almost impossible to lose, they provide excellent adhesion in the longitudinal and transverse directions, and their lightweight building contributes to a decrease in rubber mass.

We turn to the novelties of friction tires ("Velcro"). First, we note the German rubber, which perfectly showed himself in the current tests. Its main feature is an asymmetric three-zone protector, designed to ensure safe driving on a snowy, ice and wet coverage. The protector was designed using computer simulation, paired blocks connected by the supporting jumpers are located in the center, a large number of lamellae and grooves with sharp edges are placed in the center, and the inner part is equipped with curved blocks with stepped slats, which allows you to imitate the effect of operation of anti-slip chains when driving on snowy roads.

The second novelty of the 2014-2015 season, worthy of close attention is the tires of Japanese production. Due to the new synthetic polymer entered into the rubberime, these friction tires demonstrate the best qualities at any ambient temperature. The polymer changes its properties depending on the temperature regime, while maintaining the elasticity of rubber at the optimal level, and the special microporous structure of the tread surface (multiCellCompound technology) allows water to absorb water between the tread and the icing surface of the road, which ensures the preservation of adhesion and controllability. BRIDGESTONE BLIZZAK DM-V2 tire protector has a directional pattern with the presence of a large number of sharp faces and 3D lamellae, which enhance the coupling properties on a snowy and wet road.

Complete overview of novelties Finnish "tires". This friction tires received an innovative composition of the rubberime, which actively uses high-quality silica, natural rubber and cryosilane, which guarantees the preservation of the elasticity of the tires in the widespread temperature range. In addition, the composition of rubber introduced a rush oil that increases the stability of tires to ruptures. The top layer of Tires Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 is additionally equipped with multi-faceted microscopic crystals playing the role of microzymps, thereby providing additional coupling force on the garbage. As for the tread, it has a directional pattern with an abundance of sharp corners, ribbed lamellae, as well as special "claws" in the shoulder area for more efficient work in the snow.

Well, now let's go to the most tasty, i.e. Rating of winter season rubber 2014-2015. The rating is based on large-scale tests conducted by the team of Finnish specialists from Test World, known all over the world. Immediately, we note that the Finns rather scrupulously and responsibly approach their business, and therefore buy all the test material on their own in the usual retail network, which means that manufacturers do not have the opportunity to send the "charged" versions of their tires to the "charged" vessel. The tests themselves passed the polar circle in both the outdoors and in a special room with the ability to adjust the level of humidity and temperature. During the tests, the specialists evaluated the behavior of rubber on snow, ice, dry and wet asphalt, exposing estimates that were in the future multiplied by the factor of the warehouse. As part of the study, the braking pathway of the car was measured, the characteristics of its acceleration, handling and course stability, as well as noise level in the cabin (front and rear). You can get acquainted with the final rating results according to the relevant links below.

After the crisis, the most popular and most affordable studded tires chose, not forgetting about Chinese. Seven of the eleven such tires were cheaper than 2500 rubles. New products in the "VAZ" sizes are a bit, but we have "with you" - the Continental ContiCecontact 2 tires just go to the market. For the first time in our tests, Avatyre Freeze (1770 rubles), Polish tires Sava Eskimo Stud (2135 rubles), Chinese Aeolus Ice Challenger (2140 rubles) and Japanese Yokohama IceGuard IG55 (2590 rubles) are participating in our tests. Among the "Scandinavian" selection is noticeably modest. According to manufacturers, the share of "riding" on the Russian market ranges from 65 to 80%, that is, "non-sheep" remains quite a bit. We found only seven sets. The most inexpensive - Cordiant Winter Drive for 2050 rubles and Nordman RS for 2225 rubles. The average price category (2500-3000 rubles) represent the "Japanese" Bridgestone Blizzak VRX and Toyo Observe GSI-5, as well as Goodyear UltraGrip ICE 2 of Polish production. We did not bother even a couple of top models of Nokian and Continental, which are more expensive than 3,000 rubles per piece.

The tests were performed in January - February at the AvtoVAZ test site, near Togliatti. Winter was not very frosty: the temperature of the rope within -25 ... -5 ºС. The asphalt part rolled back in early May, on the raised roads. Worked at night when the temperature did not rise above + 5 ... + 7 ºС. It is such a temperature of the tires consider transitional from winter tires to summer and vice versa. Test car - Lada Kalina, equipped with ABS.

How running and you will go

The most important part of the tests of winter tires is running in. After all, it depends on how well the tires on the snow and ice will work and how long will serve. It is easy to spoil in incorrect running in the "riding": with aggressive ride on risks, the spikes will be started simply to fly. Each set of studded tires we run through 500 km. Without sharp accelerations and braking, so that every hips get into his place and the rubber tightly wrapped its base. To do this, we divide the entire mileage for three to four parts, making after each break in motion per hour or two. For running in unintellible soft "scandinavocks", in the people of frequently referred to as "Velcro", 300 km are enough. And the movement style should be more aggressive, with a light slip when overclocking. Here, the prolonged task of running the Other runoff is completely removed from the tread remnants of the lubricant, which was applied to the mold (lubrication needed to eliminate damage to the tread with 3D-cuts when removing just welded tires from the mold). In addition, on these tires, it is necessary to remove a thin surface layer of rubber, which after baking it turns out to be a little harder core. It is possible not to worry about the wear of the sharp edges of the lamellas: on modern models, they are designed so that with mutual friction self-sharpening. This ensures the stability of the characteristics of non-loose tires all over the service life.

How to hang around?

On rolled tires, we measure the hardness of rubber and the magnitude of the speakers of spikes, comparing the results with those that they received on nine new tires. After running, the hardness of rubber on Shore, as a rule, changes to several units in one direction or another. The spikes can also be slightly out or shuffled because they get up in their place. In Russia, the magnitude of spikes is not regulated. But in the European Union countries, where the use of studded tires is allowed, it is limited - no more than 1.2 mm on new tires. This compromise value determined life: a smaller protrusion will not allow to achieve an effective clutch on ice, the larger will worsen the grip on the asphalt and will lead to the rapid loss of "carnations" during operation. In our long-term tests, the average speech of spikes after running is from 1.3 to 1.6 mm. So now almost all tires got into this range with a deviation of one tenth millimeter. The exceptions made up four models. First, this is Chinese Aeolus: it has a spikes only with 0.5-0.8 mm. It is immediately clear that on the ice he will not be enough from heaven. Secondly, Cordiant: Speaking of thorns comes up to 2.0 mm - an extremely allowed value in Europe (although no one checks on the machines). But Bridgestone and Sava are alarming: after running, some spikes sticking out 2.3 mm! And above the protector, not only the carbide insertion of the spike is towers (it, as a rule, performs over the housing by 1.2 mm), but also almost a millimeter of its cylindrical body. It is clear that on ice these tires will have an advantage over "law-abiding". At one time, we checked how the spelling of spikes on the coupling properties of the tires on the ice. Each tenth fraction of a millimeter reduces the braking path by 2.5-3%. The spikes with a protrusion of 2.3 mm will benefit from those that stick out by only 1.3 mm, not less than 25-30%!

I repeat that we have speech spikes with any laws limited. But according to the technical regulations of the Customs Union, which unites Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, for tires made from January 1, 2016, for speech of spikes on new tires is set to 1.2 ± 0.3 mm. That is, the spike will have to perform above the tread no less than 0.9 mm and no more than 1.5 mm. It will be interesting to look at the Bridgestone and Sava tires next year.

To get acquainted with the results of the test (they are reduced to the table), follow the links: Table # 1 and Table # 2.

What are we tested?

In the sequence of test exercises, we first measure overclocking and braking in the snow and on ice. Why? In the process of testing on the spikes, there are high loads, under the action of which the spikes can slowly move outward, and, if these measurements are last carried out, the spikes will perform more. After the longitudinal clutch measurements, we check the tires on the ice circle, we are experiencing on the rearrangement. And after that, we estimate controllability, coursework stability, permeability and comfort. At the end of all tests on the "white" roads again check the speech of thorns. If it has not changed during testing, then the spikes are kept in rubber securely, and this is the key to the fact that they will walk long. The most stable were Continental, Nordman, Yokohama and Bridgestone: These tires during all tests, the magnitude of the spikes remains unchanged. On one "dozen" crawled spikes from Nokian, such a result also consider excellent. Toyo and aeolus look quite worn: they have added spikes from zero to 0.2-0.3 mm. But the tires Avatyre, Cordiant, Formula and Sava increase threatening - up to 0.4-0.5 mm. There is a suspicion that with such a thread of growth in the spikes for a long time in the tires can not be held. The magnitude of the speakers of spikes is absolute recordsman - SAVA: some "carnations" after tests sticking out 2.7 mm!

Asphalt tests are also carried out, taking into account the intensity of rubber wear. We start with the assessment and measurements of resistance to rolling and only in the final we carry out braking on the asphalt. Guess why? If not, I will answer the words of Continental specialists, which are called emergency braking on asphalt with stress for winter tires - even if there are abs. And they believe that after a dozen one and a half of such braking, the tires come into disrepair. But we are just lying six - eight times a touch and the same on the wet road. After testing, carefully inspect the spikes and the protectors of the "stressed" tires. Three models whose spikes performed more than 2 mm (Bridgestone, Cordiant and Sava) differ from the other pits in rubber near spikes. When braking, high spikes are very tilted and spit pieces of tread. Yes, and the hulls of the spikes themselves are settled, lost the cylindrical shape and now look like cones. It is surprising that none of these tires lost spikes. The trouble came, from where they did not wait, - Blagov-recipient Toyo broke up with 14 spikes on four wheels. It is noteworthy that last year when the spikes at the end of the tests were sticking out a little more (up to 2.3 mm) than now (up to 1.9 mm), she did not have losses.

Hipovka or Velcro: Afterword

So, prefer - "Robes" or "Scandinaviani"? When choosing, remember the main advantages and disadvantages of those and others. Schips have more stable coupling properties on any coatings, but they are less comfortable. Soften and quiet "velcro" demanding more to the level of driver's skill on ice. In addition, I will not venture to advise "Scandinava" for cars without ABS: when the wheels are blocked on ice, their clutch falls significantly, and it is extremely dangerous. The Nokian bus was the unconditional winner of our test, which in recent years speaken the legislator of winter fashion: the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 model was released in the leader in the leader, and there was Hakkapeliitta R2 among the Scandinavians. But they are the most expensive. So the choice is not easy - and our tables with recommendations regarding each tire will help it.

We warn you a particularly exhaust: we should not compare the results of "riding" and "Scandinavocks", they are not found in different tables. According to their own experience, we know that the difference depends on temperature. On a strong frost (-20 ºС and below), soft "Scandinavians" will win on ice, in "greenhouse" (above -10 ºС) the best results will be at the "riding". Perhaps, it is possible to compare only behavior on the asphalt. But it should be remembered that tirens do not compare the data obtained in different days. After all, the result of measurements affects not only air temperature and asphalt, but also humidity, wind power, the amount of ultraviolet and much more. At the same time, Anton Ananiev, Vladimir Wheel, Yuri Kurochkin, Yevgeny Larin, Anton Mishin, Andrei Forms, Valery Pavlov and Dmitry Tests took part. We express our appreciation to the manufacturers to the test products, as well as employees of the AvtoVAZ polygon and Togliatti company Volgashinth for technical support.

New premium-class premium-grade winter tires for CONTIVIKINGCONTACT 6 cars for compact, medium and business class cars, as well as SUVs. Developed specifically for the Scandinavian and Russian winter, they came to replace themselves perfectly proven in the Russian market of ContivikingContact 5. Functionally divided into three parts asymmetric protector of new tire-lipochki "is made of soft rubber mixture. It is designed so that when cornering, the areas that make up the largest load along the edges of the tread using reinforced double blocks provide improved clutch on the snow and asphalt. These blocks serve each other support and allow you to achieve increased stability to loads in turns. Lamels in the middle part of the tread provide exceptionally reliable clutch on the ice-covered roads. At the same time, they act like wiper brushes, preventing aquaplaning. Soft rubber mixture and numerous vacuum lamellas provide a short braking path and confident handling.

2. Cooper Discoverer WSC

Cooper Discoverer WSC Cooper Discoverer WSC Tread Rubber Rubber Module Improves clutch on ice, slush and wet road even in extremely low temperatures. The patented Snow-Groove technology enhances the clutch when driving through the snow, and 132 spikes located in 12 rows provide excellent clutch on ice and snow. The tread pitch 66 increases the number of edges of the croup for improving the clutch on the snow, ice and a wet surface.

3. Cooper Discoverer M + S2

Modern directed cooper Discoverer M + S2 tire with improved clutch and low noise level consists of blocks with lamella-cutting grooves that improves adhesion and braking in the snow and ice in the most severe winter conditions. Advanced tread material improves braking on wet coating and ice. Marking the icon "For deep snow" means that the tires are officially attributed to the operating class "for deep snow cover."

4. CORDIANT SNOW CROSS

Cordiant Snow Cross tires are ideal for use in harsh winter conditions. Snow-Cor technology is designed to ensure safe driving in the snow. Thanks to the directional pattern of the tread, the divergent rays from the center of the tire, snow and water are squeezed out of the contact spot. To ensure Ice-Cor virtuoso handling, ICE-COR technology has been used. Asymmetrically, the spikes installed in 16 rows alternately come into contact with the coating and securely hold the tire from slipping. The new "green" mixture with an increased content of silica provides a magnificent clutch with an expensive.

5. CORDIANT WINTER DRIVE

Friction urban tires Cordiant Winter Drive are adapted for changeable winter conditions. Z-shaped lamellas provide microdenate and increase the grip on the snow and ice. Massive protector shoulder checkers ensure the accuracy of the steering reactions. The multidirectional grooves effectively remove water from the contact stain and protect against aquaplaning. The alternation of the elements of the tread, different in shape and size, reduces the noise level.

6. GISLAVED NORD FROST 100

The new brand model Gislaved - NORD Frost 100 is a decent successor of the previous model NORD Frost 5. An improved design of triangular spikes allows you to improve both the longitudinal and transverse clutch on the icing road surface, as well as reduce the braking path. Zigzag lamellas in the shoulder zone provide excellent controllability on a dry coating, and thanks to the optimized tire profile and the new rubber mixture of Nordic Silica, wear resistance and reduced rolling resistance.

7. Goodyear UltraGrip Ice 2

Goodyear UltraGrip ICE 2 tires have undergone a number of key changes compared to the previous model. They are created using a cryoadaptive rubber mixture, which remains elastic even at very low temperatures, which allows you to preserve excellent clutch indicators both on the snow and on ice or dry asphalt. Active Grip technology, which provides optimal contact with a very slippery surface, and the new composition of the rubber mixture allows the bus to show excellent results in almost any weather conditions. Handling and braking in the snow and ice are achieved thanks to the lamellas located perpendicular to the direction of the tire movement, they are similar to the caterpillars of the rapist: the tires literally vague into the snow or ice covering the road canvas.
