It is difficult to unequivocally assess the strange appearance of the cars of this company. So the SsangYong Actyon Sports pickup stands out in the city traffic with its predatory dynamic profile. British designer Ken Greenlee has managed to turn a traditional workhorse into a weird but youthful and noticeable car. Despite the fact that the driver's position provides good visibility, there is not much legroom, the steering wheel is adjustable only in height, and the gearshift lever strives to rest against the center console.

The dashboard itself, with randomly scattered buttons, is slightly turned towards the driver, surprising only the empty space for the radio tape recorder (in any configuration it is only for a surcharge) and this despite the fact that there are buttons on the steering wheel to control the music.

The sporty appearance of the SsangYong Aktion Sport, coupled with a two-liter Common Rail turbodiesel and an adaptive six-speed automatic transmission E-Tronic, promise serious dynamics. But in practice, handling and acceleration dynamics leave much to be desired.

If we talk about the dynamic characteristics of Actyon Sports, then acceleration in 13 seconds "to hundreds" is not a bad indicator for a two-ton pickup, but nevertheless, it is far from "ideal" in general.
But this engine has its advantages - it differs in a small "appetite" and good high-torque at the bottom ... only now, at "high revs" it responds with a terrible roar.

Manageability in city traffic, as it should be for pickups, is not up to par. In case of sharp maneuvers, insufficient information content of the steering is felt, a tendency to skid is observed, and lateral rolls are simply frightening. Although, it would seem, the spring suspension was supposed to provide easy handling. Electronic systems could remedy the situation, however, apart from ABS, nothing was found in the complete set.

Among the shortcomings, it is also worth mentioning the fuzzy engagement of manual transmission gears and the tendency of disc brakes to overheat.

At the same time, despite all of the above, the car found its adherents. Those who were not fooled by the "sporty" appearance, for a very reasonable fee, received a universal all-wheel drive frame pickup with an excellent diesel engine capable of delivering the owner with his family and cargo to the destination, regardless of the roads.

The pickup has two mechanical transmissions - 5-speed and 6-speed. The first is designed exclusively for gasoline modification, and the second is for diesel.
