Performs one of the most important functions in a car device. Accordingly, many motorists are interested in the question - how to choose the right filter element and which one is better to install on your car. We will pay attention to this issue today. Which one is better to buy fuel filter for diesel engine, see below.

Fuel filter functions

Before we start choosing a filter, let's find out what functions it performs. So, as you understand, a diesel engine fuel filter is designed to purify fuel.

In general, the cleaning process is carried out in several stages:

  • pre-cleaning procedure, which is carried out in fuel tank;
  • the next stage is a rough cleaning of the fuel;
  • the final stage is fine cleaning.

It's no secret to anyone that diesel system nutrition is the most demanding in terms of fuel purity. At diesel engines precision pairs are installed not only in the nozzle, but also in the fuel pump itself. Accordingly, the excessive presence of impurities in the fuel can adversely affect not only the functioning of the injectors, but also the pump. This means that fuel filtration must be carried out in several stages.

White paraffin - appears on the filter usually during operation in cold weather

The fundamental difference fuel filters for diesel engines is that they effectively prevent moisture from entering the engine's combustion chamber. In addition, some models of fuel filters (hereinafter referred to as FF) for diesel engines are equipped with heating elements. This is done so that in frost the paraffins contained in the fuel do not disable the system as a result of crystallization.

As you know, most fuel pollution occurs during its production at the enterprise. The rest of the substances harmful to the fuel gets into it during transportation and, accordingly, refueling. It should also be noted that various chemical processes regularly occur in the fuel, which contribute to the appearance of all kinds of resins. Moreover, with temperature fluctuations, condensate begins to appear in the gas tank, and it, in turn, interferes with the fuel while driving. Accordingly, the primary function of a TF for a diesel engine is to clean the fuel from dirt, impurities and moisture.

Diesel fuel filter device and service life

In general, diesel engines are very sensitive to debris and moisture that are present in the fuel. Moreover, high-quality diesel at domestic gas stations is not so easy to find. This sensitivity is caused by the presence of precision elements in the injectors and the fuel pump, which are lubricated by diesel. In some units, the gap between the parts is no more than 6 microns, respectively, the presence of abrasive materials can cause an increase in this gap. As a result, the system may even fail.

As practice shows, almost half of the faults diesel cars mobile is caused precisely by breakdowns in the fuel system. This means that the performance of the engine as a whole and its service life directly depend on how TFs clean the fuel. Now let's move on to the issue of a fuel filter device for a diesel engine. In general, the device of the element is quite simple. The TF consists directly of the filtering component itself, as well as separators that are necessary to separate water from the diesel, and in some cases, a moisture sensor with a tap to drain it.

According to the photo below, consider the TF device:

  1. Diesel requiring filtration.
  2. Emulsion after the pump.
  3. Separation of elements and formation of condensate droplets.
  4. Already cleaned diesel fuel with drops of condensate.
  5. hydrophobic element.
  6. Sump for condensate.

In general, such a device is typical for diesel TF. To be in the tank vehicle moisture did not appear, some manufacturers advise to fill the tank completely at least once a week. As for the service life, it directly depends on the quality of the fueled diesel fuel, on average, this figure is about 30-40 thousand kilometers. The inability of the diesel fuel filter to perform its functions is due to the loss of power when driving uphill. If the TF is not changed in time, then the problem will continue to develop, up to the point that the engine simply cannot be started.

How to choose the right one?

So, if in principle everything is clear with the functions and the device, then consider the following question. What is the best fuel filter for a diesel engine?

To do this, several aspects should be taken into account:

  1. Buy only original TF for diesel units. To date, the choice of filter elements for diesel vehicles is simply huge. Therefore, when buying, it is important that you do not fall for counterfeit products. Most the best option will be the purchase of the original TF, which is designed specifically for your car. In this regard, when buying, it is important to pay attention to the serial number, it is desirable that it matches the one indicated by the manufacturer.
  2. Before purchasing, you need to determine the required filtration fineness. When you buy a TF, pay attention to its description; several parameters should be noted in it, in particular, the nominal and absolute level of filtration. This indicator is measured in microns (µm). the nominal indicator determines the size of particles that are retained by the filter element by 95%. The index of absolute filtration generally determines the quality of cleaning and the class of the device, it is 98%.
    It should also be noted that among themselves the filters differ in the elements of fine and coarse cleaning. Coarse FFs are designed to pre-treat and eliminate the largest debris particles from the fuel. TF fine cleaning necessary to clean the fuel that has already passed through the coarse filter. To date, the principle of double cleaning is the most common and effective, because it allows you to provide reliable protection systems. In addition, with double cleaning, the service life of both TFs is significantly increased.
  3. Remember that low-quality TFs are always the cheapest. It is no secret that a high-quality filter component is much more expensive, because it determines the price of the part in principle. To date, synthetic, cellulose and combined materials can be used in FF. Fully synthetic cells are the most expensive in terms of price, while they have the longest life.
    Cellulose TFs are considered the most inexpensive. And for good reason, because their design for cleaning is equipped with a special porous paper with an impregnation function. As for the combined elements, as a rule, synthetic and cellulose layers alternate in them, which allows filtering dirt from the fuel at a decent level.
  4. For diesel fuel, it is also necessary to additionally install a water-fuel separator. The purpose of the separator is to separate condensate from the fuel, as well as to prevent it from entering the fuel. It is no secret that moisture significantly reduces the performance of the unit as a whole, and if it freezes during frost, this can even lead to damage to the elements of the entire system. Often, separators are mounted in a compartment with the main TF.
  5. And lastly, the TF must be installed together with a heating device. When the ambient temperature drops, the fuel "paraffinizes", respectively, its supply to the engine will be difficult. In order to prevent this, it is desirable to install a heating device in addition to the main TF. Thus, even in severe frost, the TF will always be warmed up.

The performance of the TF heating system is shown in the video.

Fuel filter- one of the inconspicuous consumables in the car, which ensures proper, and most importantly, long engine operation. Its purpose is to remove solid particles, water, as well as dust, paraffins, and in general everything that the fuel mixture can bring with it from the fuel of the car (gasoline, gas, diesel).

High quality of the filter guarantees long and correct work of the engine. We immediately conclude: without saving on the fuel filter, you reduce the possible costs of repairing the internal combustion engine.

Principle of operation and possible malfunctions

The fuel filter is conveniently located between the fuel tank and the engine, and in older cars it is located directly in front of the carburetor. Filters for diesel cars are equipped with a membrane that helps to separate water from the incoming diesel. Motorists should remember that the old fuel filter cannot be cleaned on its own, so you will have to buy a new one.

A clogged filter is indicated by the following:

  1. The dynamics and power of the car has decreased;
  2. Fuel consumption has increased;
  3. Irregular motor operation.

The following situation describes a filter malfunction: at high speeds you want to make a maneuver, somehow overtake, but when you press the gas pedal, the speed does not increase (the motor troit). Another option: you simply stalled at a traffic light.

The design of the simplest filter includes a housing with an installed filter element. The fuel, moving along the inlet pipe, enters the body, the particles in it are filtered out, after which it moves along the outlet pipe. The filter element itself is complex or star-shaped, or wound in a spiral (filtering in this case is better).

The most advanced filters contain a special honeycomb material inside. Moving deeper into the filter, the fuel is cleaned gradually - first large particles are separated from it, then smaller ones.

About the importance of the filter

Injector internal combustion engines react sharply to the purity of the fuel. They quickly accumulate dust, dirt, paraffins, sulfur and much more. Due to the non-delivery of the required amount of fuel, there is a loss of power, and even failure of a separate nozzle.

The fuel filter is especially important for car owners in Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. The matter is that our fuel concedes to the European in quality. In gasoline and diesel, experts notice impurities even in the laboratory, and motorists are aware of their presence already on the road. Try to study your fuel filter and estimate how much dirt would be on the nozzles, pistons and engine walls in the absence of this same filter. You can see:

  • Dirt. This indicates a high percentage of asphaltenes and resins in the fuel;
  • Black dust. Talks about the presence of manganese additives;
  • Wavy curvature. The fuel contains a large amount of water;
  • Black slime. There was a fungus, bacteria in the fuel.

To recap: a fuel filter is vital, don't skimp on buying it.

Dealing with replacement times

The manufacturer will help you with this. Examine the documents for the car, or contact a specialist at the service station. The latter option is preferable if you are used to refueling at various gas stations and are not sure about the quality of the fuel. In general, European cars need to change the fuel filter on average every 20,000 kilometers if the engine is gasoline, and every 50,000 kilometers if it is diesel. In the vastness of the aforementioned countries, this distance may be half as much.

Another option is to carry out the replacement ahead of schedule. It is enough to remove the filter and see how clogged the corrugation is and how much black plaque it has collected. Again, the quality of gasoline at domestic gas stations leaves much to be desired, so we advise you to periodically check your filter and play it safe by spending early replacement. Believe me, your car's engine will only get better.

What types of fuel filters are found

The classification is simple and clear. It has the following structure:

  • Carburetor. Very simple filters designed for high pressure systems. Do not pass particles up to 15 microns in size;
  • Injection. Designed for a wide pressure range. Hidden in a very durable housing, they provide fine cleaning of incoming fuel. Detain litter up to 10 microns in size;
  • Diesel. Sophisticated filters that are able to retain both small particles and paraffin, water. Modern filters trap all particles whose size is not less than 5 microns;
  • Gas(for cars with LPG). Purify the gas from impurities.

Filters for diesel cars

Diesel fuel filters should be discussed separately. The point is that such fuel system very sensitive to impurities in the fuel, and in particular to water. Water in low-quality filters passes further into the injection system, disrupting the combustion process and contributing to corrosion.

Diesel fuel filters must retain their properties at temperatures below 0C. Paraffin crystallizes in a diesel engine, clogging a conventional filter. Often commercially available special filters control the temperature of the incoming fuel. If they are not provided with such control, in the cold, viscous diesel fuel with paraffin crystals will pass through them, due to which the filter becomes clogged. In this case, the engine loses power, may stall.

On the complexity of choice

As is the case with many other parts, check the "primer book" that comes with your car. The characteristics of the purchased filter must match those stated by the manufacturer. Namely, these are: linear dimensions, screening fineness, engine type and its volume.

Screening fineness- the amount of litter, the dimensions of which are determined by the filter manufacturer, retained by the filter itself. It is usually expressed as a percentage. There are the following levels: average, nominal, absolute.

  • Average dropout- the filter will retain 50% of particles having a certain size;
  • Nominal– similar, but 95% of particles are retained;
  • Absolute– 100% of particles are screened out.

So, let's try to decipher what the fuel filter manufacturer writes. Written: "Nominal screening fineness 10 microns." We read this: "The filter retains 95% of unwanted particles (5% will go further in the system), the linear dimensions of which are at least 10 microns."

A brief tour of the brands

Inexpensive: Bosch, Hengst (Germany), Blue Print (UK), UFI (Italy), Puflux (France). The market share of the aforementioned brands is approaching 70%

Also pay attention to the following budget filters: Profit, WIX, Starline (Czech Republic, Poland). The quality of their filters is not the highest, but meets many standards.

We define a fake

We have already said that cheap filters should be at the very bottom of the motorist's shopping list. However, you can put a budget Starline on a car, but in no case a fake one. Determining which is which is easy:

  • Appearance. On the filter body you can find the article, engraving or stamping (on metal or plastic, respectively), the manufacturer's logo, as well as the product number;
  • Price. Beware of too cheap fuel filters, which fall in price by 2 times during the holidays. The price will never fall below the calculated level many times, discounts up to 35% are already very rare;
  • Gaskets. The manufacturer uses sealing elements that practically do not react to the action of fuel. The shape of the gaskets must be correct. Counterfeit filters often do not have any gaskets at the junctions of the hoses with the filter itself;
  • Package. A serious manufacturer spends money not only on the product, but also on its packaging. First, the company logo and its name should catch your eye. Secondly, the print itself is of high quality. Thirdly, the design as a whole should be catchy and memorable, you will not find the original filter in ordinary white boxes;

  • Build quality. Nothing rustles or dangles inside the filter. All parts are well assembled, if they need to be glued, they are glued well;
  • Metal processing. The equipment used in official factories allows you to process metal well. It will not have scratches, chips, burrs. By the way, plastic cases are already hinting at a shameless fake - this material simply cannot withstand the high pressure in the system.

How to determine the quality of a product?

Even large factories sometimes produce defective auto parts. In the case of filters on the points listed below, you can also identify a fake, albeit a relatively well-executed one:

  • The paper quickly became clogged with solid particles. By the way, it is worth periodically removing the filter and visually studying it. If some part of the filter quickly becomes clogged, you can be sure: the product will last for a maximum of 10 thousand kilometers;
  • Poor paper quality. It is almost impossible to determine visually. The bottom line is that small villi will be separated from the filter element, which then enter the fuel system;
  • Low winding density. Clear savings on materials. If the winding density is low, the filtration quality will tend to zero.

Low-quality filters do their job, but they have to be changed more often high quality.

Conclusion

Properly selected fuel filter will avoid problems in the long-term operation of the engine. It is especially important if you know little about the quality of fuel at the gas stations you are used to using.

If you complain about the engine during the inspection, the masters will most likely study the consumables. They will examine the old filter and say whether it is worth buying a similar one in the future. Your best assistants in choosing a fuel filter will be specialists, instruction manuals and knowledge of the above.

Modern diesel engines - sophisticated and precise mechanical systems, which can be disturbed by the smallest foreign particles. Diesel fuel filters are on guard for the well-being of the engine. Outwardly similar, they are radically different from the gasoline "brothers".

The device and principle of operation of diesel fuel filters

Before diesel fuel is used for its intended purpose, it is purified from contaminants and water. This is necessary, since fuel enters the nozzles and cylinders under high pressure. Extraneous dust in this case turns into an abrasive, quickly disabling parts. Dirty fuel is the main cause of premature diesel engine failures. Their power systems usually have two fuel cells: coarse and fine. Solutions with one or three filter stages are less common. The separation of functions between fine and coarse filters is not a dogma. For example, the removal of water from the fuel can be assigned to both the first and the second, or both at once. It all depends on the design decision.

Dirty fuel is the main cause of premature failures of the pump, injectors, pistons and cylinders of diesel engines.

The coarse fuel filter (FGOT) retains large foreign particles with a diameter of approximately 100-300 microns. Smaller fractions are stopped by a fine filter (FTOT). The size of the collected dust depends on the fuel requirements of the engine. So, the engines of the most progressive system common rail, whose nozzles operate under pressure up to 2.5 thousand atmospheres, the cleanest fuel is needed. Permissible size foreign particles for them are not larger than 3-5 microns. Ordinary diesel engines with plunger fuel pumps high pressure fuel pumps (high pressure fuel pump) are less "capricious", since the working pressure of the fuel in them is much lower. The place of the FGOT in the power system is up to the preliminary pump that supplies fuel to the supercharger (high pressure fuel pump). FTOT is placed in front of the injection pump.

The coarse diesel fuel filter is installed before the preliminary pump, the fine filter is installed in front of the fuel equipment

A common design of the FGOT is a collapsible cup with a replaceable filter element.

In the filter-sump, the cleaning element is made in the form of a grid. Additional elements that improve functioning can be placed inside the glass: a reflector, a damper, etc.

In some cars, non-separable universal direct-flow FGOTs in a transparent plastic case are used, which look like gasoline ones. For example, a WK 31/5 filter is installed in the Mercedes-Benz W124.

In-line diesel fuel pre-filter similar to gasoline

Experiments on installing a diesel engine in a serial passenger car in Europe began in the thirties of the twentieth century. For example, in 1936 there was a 45-horsepower version of the Mercedes 260D with the brainchild of Rudolf Diesel under the hood.

Fine filters for diesel fuel

Fundamentally, they differ in the properties of the filter elements and the size of the retained dust. The filter element is the main part of the FTOT. In addition to it, the filter can be equipped with a separator for separating moisture from the fuel, a valve for draining accumulated water and a sensor for its presence.

In addition to the filter element, FTOT can be equipped with a separator for separating moisture from the fuel, a valve for draining accumulated water and a sensor for its presence.

Structurally, these elements are made both non-separable and collapsible. In the second case, either a cartridge or a cartridge is used as a replaceable element. The cartridge is a packageless replaceable element made of filter paper or other finely porous material - installed in a housing made of plastic, aluminum or steel. The FTOT cartridge is the same cartridge, but placed inside its own case. Some fuel cartridges can also be used to clean oil. The fuel filter consists of two elements: a cartridge and a cap.

Choice

The correct fuel filter selection strategy is to follow the recommendations of the vehicle manufacturers. They are designed with the needs of the engine in mind. You should not experiment by installing the wrong filter just because it is cheap.

Some motorists are trying to compensate for the poor quality of cleaning frequent replacement fuel cell. This is the wrong approach. The main task of the filter is to prevent getting into fuel equipment and cylinders of foreign particles larger than a certain size. Filtration fineness is one of the characteristics that does not change during operation. Neither old nor new element, which is not able to hold small particles, will not protect the engine from damage.

Filters with similar parameters are produced by different companies. Well-known brands Mann, Knecht (Mahle), Bosch, UFI, Delphi and others occupy a leading position in the market, as they produce high-quality products that car manufacturers install on new cars. Use the online catalogs to select the right filter. Choose only those models in the description of which there is a direct recommendation for your car.

Replacement schedule

Signs of the need to replace fuel filters are as follows:

  • difficulty stopping the engine
  • spontaneous stop of the motor,
  • low power,
  • noisy engine,
  • copious black smoke from the exhaust pipe.

Waiting for these symptoms to appear is dangerous. The diesel engine does not tolerate inattention. Delay in replacing fuel filters reduces the life of the engine and provokes premature failure. To avoid trouble, change the filters at least as often as the car manual recommends.

The Belgian importer Volg already in 1960 began to install several varieties of atmospheric diesel engines on the "twenty first", of course, foreign production. True, the car “stopped running” at the same time, but in Western Europe 50 years ago, economy was much more important than dynamics.

Manufacturers are constantly improving diesel engine fuel filters. The estimated resource of modern replaceable filter elements reaches 90 thousand kilometers. Practical recommendations car manufacturers are much more modest, which is probably due to two factors. Firstly, the low quality of the fuel greatly affects the service life. There are no clogging indicators in the filters, so it is impossible to check the condition of the filter elements without disassembly, and it is better to be safe than to cause significant damage to the engine. Secondly, a branded service brings significant profit, which brand owners are in no hurry to give up.

Uniform recommendations for replacing filters for all diesel vehicles does not exist. Usually they are 25-40 thousand kilometers. The cleaner is coarse, if it is, and there is no special recommendation in the car's manual, it is changed along with the main element of fine cleaning.

These figures are only generalized data, not intended for practical use. Look into the "primer book" of your car. It is possible that its manufacturer considers it appropriate to change the filters more often. For example, for diesel vehicles Renault Duster in 2015, a filter resource of 20 thousand km was installed, before this date it was only 10 thousand km.

Poor quality fuel significantly reduces filter life. To damage the engine, sometimes one refueling is enough. If you notice something is wrong after visiting the gas station, drain the suspicious fuel and fill the tank with obviously high-quality fuel. Replace the fuel filter as soon as possible, even if symptoms do not stable operation disappeared.

Diesel engine cleaning filter heating

A feature of the winter operation of diesel fuel is the crystallization of paraffins in it. Due to low temperatures, paraffins precipitate, clogging the fuel filter and fuel lines. Winter fuel more stable than summer, but it can also freeze.

The correct method to combat paraffin crystallization is to preheat the fuel cell. In some cars, it is implemented constructively, for example, in Renault Duster.

You can equip any car with heating by installing a heated filter instead of the standard one or in addition to it.

The problem is solved independently and at minimal cost by installing an electric shroud heater on the existing filter.

A reliable fuel filter is a prerequisite for long-term operation of a diesel engine. It is impossible to save on a filter. Motor repairs will cost more.

The fuel equipment of a diesel engine is very sensitive to contamination. All cleaning work is done by diesel fuel filters. Before getting directly into the combustion chambers, diesel fuel goes through 3 stages of purification: pre-filtration in the fuel tank, the stages of "coarse" and "fine" purification.

Problems Diesel Fuel Filters Solve

The main task of such filters is to prevent the penetration of abrasive impurities and resins formed due to chemical reactions into the fuel line and combustion chambers. Due to the high moisture content of diesel fuel, unlike gasoline, diesel fuel filters must condense water and remove it from the fuel supply equipment in large volumes.

However, in diesel fuel there is a high content of paraffins, which crystallize at low temperatures. The ingress of such particles into the engine often becomes dangerous for him. the best way The solution to this problem is the use of heated filters.

If the diesel fuel filter is already clogged with paraffin, it must be replaced.

Stages of diesel fuel purification and types of filters

The first obstacle in the way of suspensions in the fuel is the filter element in the car's fuel tank. As a rule, it is a frame sealed in a mesh, which is a barrier to solid particles. This type of cleaning cannot prevent small particles, water, paraffins and resins from entering the fuel equipment.

But thanks to him it is eliminated most of large elements - products of corrosion and debris. They are present in any fuel tank. This prevents clogging of the highways. low pressure, and also significantly increases the life of the coarse filter.

In most cases, the replacement of this element is not regulated by the manufacturer, but it is recommended to do this. Its service life directly depends on the newness of the car, its technical condition and fuel quality. The mesh element in the car tank is the cheapest link in the entire fuel supply chain to the engine, but no less important, so do not neglect to check it and, if necessary, replace it.

The second stage is responsible for the "coarse" fuel filters (sump filters). Their name is due to the presence of a sump glass. In the lower part it is equipped with a damper, thanks to which it is possible to remove water.

And in its upper part there is a mesh or plate filter element that allows you to get rid of particles up to 0.05 mm in size remaining after the first stage. Next, the fuel enters the low pressure fuel pump (TNND).

At of this type filters provided drain plug to clean the glass from condensate and sediment. Most sediment filters have a collapsible design. Such a diesel engine fuel filter arrangement makes it possible to wash and, if necessary, replace the filter element and thereby restore cleaning efficiency.

A special type of filters at this stage are heated separators for diesel fuel. Their price is much higher than that of conventional sediment filters, but the quality of fuel purification is more efficient, and heating solves the problem of paraffins. They are able to remove up to 95% of water and impurities from diesel fuel.

The cleaning process begins with the stage of heating the fuel, which prevents the crystallization of paraffins and water. Further, under the action of centrifugal forces arising from the swirling of the emulsion passing through special channels, water and impurities are separated and deposited in a settling glass.

To separate smaller particles, the principle of changing the direction of flow is used, which is implemented using separator blades. The final stage is a pleated cartridge that removes the smallest solid particles.

Often there are "coarse" filters connected to a booster pump or a "fine" filter.

In most cases, the contamination of the "coarse" filters will not be felt during the operation of vehicles, because. HPFP performance is always higher than necessary for stable engine operation. Therefore, in order to prevent costly repairs, it is necessary to remove accumulated water and debris from the sump in a timely manner and not to ignore the need to replace the filter element.

The final barrier to fuel before it enters the diesel engine is the "fine" filter. It allows you to get rid of the solid particles remaining in the previous stages that are not visible to the eye, as well as the formed resins. Another of its functions is to protect the engine from air that has entered the fuel in the early stages of cleaning.

Through the jet valve, air with excess fuel is discharged back into the tank. The temperature difference between the discharged mixture and the fuel in the tank contributes to the formation of condensate and an increase in the water content. The function of “fine” cleaning at this stage is performed by a replaceable element consisting of special porous paper.

Often, the replacement of only this element is regulated by the manufacturer. Because of this, it becomes a common mistake to ignore the need to service the remaining filter elements.

Fuel filter selection

Before choosing any fuel filter for diesel engines, consider design features your vehicle. Never use a petrol fuel filter! It will not be able to prevent water and paraffins from entering the engine.

Most modern diesel cars of foreign production are equipped only with a "fine" filter. In this case, you can not be limited only to compliance with the regulations. It is necessary to equip the vehicle with an additional fuel purification unit. The ideal option would be to install a heated filter-separator.

Here are the main characteristics that you should pay attention to when choosing it: throughput, heating element power, filtration quality, allowable pressure and dimensions of the product. For normal operation of the vehicle, all these parameters must correspond to the features of the engine power system.

So, the throughput for engines with high pressure fuel pumps (HFP) is in the range from 20 to 50 l / h (in rare cases up to 60 l/h). And with Common Rail systems and pump nozzles - from 40 to 80 l / h.

The same applies to the quality of filtration for engines with high pressure fuel pumps, a sufficient value will be 10-30 microns, and for Common Rail given parameter should not be worse than 2-5 microns. To create a centrifugal effect and high-quality filtration for cars with low fuel consumption, you should choose filters with a small volume, and when big expense- vice versa.

Having decided on the type of filters, you should pay attention to their quality. The market is currently overflowing with all sorts of offers. With the declared similar characteristics, the price may differ by 10 times. But don't be tempted by this cheapness.

by the most the best option will use original components, but if this is not possible, you should pay attention to reputable brands: Mann, Knecht, OE, Bosch, etc. Often such large companies are suppliers of original components. The higher the cost of the filter, the better degree its filtration.

Fuel filter replacement

This procedure requires certain skills and experience. The technology for replacing elements is different for different models cars. It is important to familiarize yourself with it before carrying out any work. Strict adherence to the replacement technology guarantees you the correct operation of the engine in the future.

With proper skill, such a procedure can be performed independently. To do this, you need to remove the filter element, remove debris and water from the housing and get rid of air in the power system. If you do not know how to perform these steps, contact the service.
